Responsibilities
Manage, teach, and grow a small team of junior research analysts ensuring deadlines are met and our database is kept current and pristine.
Identify opportunities to improve data automation, reducing manual processes and increasing operational efficiency.
Gather, analyze, interpret, and disseminate data on available properties, transactions, clients, clients in the market, and new developments.
Assess the economic environment of multiple western markets and evaluate multifamily commercial real estate opportunities and trends
Translate data and information into clear, professional reports and analyses that offer insightful interpretation for both investors and Advisors
Develop analysis and reports to enhance client understanding of market trends and investment opportunities
Complete special research-related tasks and projects as directed by National Sales Manager
Assist in processing sales advisors' research requests timely and accurately
Leverage our database, the internet, title company sites, CoStar, Yardi Matrix, LandVision and other tools for information on multifamily commercial real estate properties, ownership and economic factors to obtain unique insights into the multifamily investment landscape.
Required Knowledge and Experience
You must have 5+ years of research experience in commercial real estate, preferably multifamily
Knowledge of API integrations, data mapping, and reporting tools. Experience with tools that streamline data mining, scraping, cleaning or other database management processes
Data Quality Management: Standards for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity.
Bachelor's degree, Real Estate, Economics, Finance or Business preferred

Biologist (Restoration Specialist) responsibilities include supporting the HELIX biology and habitat restoration teams with habitat restoration project work, including:
Design or assist with designing habitat restoration projects to meet project goals and success criteria.
Design and implement site exploration programs to evaluate the potential for successful restoration efforts.
Work with Field Restoration Crews to implement restoration designs and lead adaptive management efforts as projects evolve through the restoration process.
Develop habitat restoration plans in conjunction with regulatory permitting staff that meet project permit goals.
Assist with project design and descriptions to support restoration grant application efforts.
Conduct or lead biology surveys, including biological reconnaissance, vegetation mapping, special-status plant surveys, jurisdictional delineations, focused species surveys and/or pre-construction clearance surveys.
Conduct or lead biological monitoring for construction/restoration projects.
Assist project managers with preparation and processing of wetland permit applications and supporting materials.
Participate in business development by keeping resume current, doing a great job on projects, and looking for possible leads for new work.
Prepare or assist project managers with proposals and augments for private and public projects, as well as preparation for (or attendance at) project interviews.
Includes occasional overnight travel.

Research Assistant I
Research Associate job in Los Angeles, CA
Under the general supervision of the O'Malley Chair and Bioethics Director, the person hired for this position will assist the Director in a number of research related tasks at the Institute for the remainder of the remainder of the Summer semester 2025 and Fall 2025. The role includes assisting with data collection and material for the minor on AI, Ethics, and Society, helping the director imagine and execute promotional programming at the Institute, developing strategies for advertising the Institute and its activities within and outside the university, assisting with the editing of manuscripts, and conducting research on behalf of the director, leading to new scholarly publications.
Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities
* Data collection and entry for APRC application for the AI, Ethics, and Society minor
* Gather and compile data across colleges on behalf of the Bioethics Institute academic programs
* Support event programming at the Institute through development of promotional programming
* Perform comprehensive literature reviews and contribute to the preparation of peer-reviewed manuscripts, grants, and reports.
* Develop social platform strategies for advertising the Institute within and outside the university.
* Assist on the production of scholarly articles and manuscripts
* Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requisite Qualifications
* Typically, a Bachelor's degree in either philosophy or bioethics. Candidate will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
* Minimum 1 year's research experience with a strong understanding and verifiable application of research methods.
* Demonstrated computer competency and some knowledge of SPSS and EXCEL for statistical analyses.
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
