Position Information
The Research Associate performs independent or supervisory roles in research activities requiring an advanced level of knowledge in a field of science or learning, are predominantly intellectual and varied in character, and require consistent use of discretion and judgment. Prepare proposals for funding agencies, operation of research equipment, supervision of graduate students and other lab/field personnel in research.
Responsibilities
Supporting all facets of research projects including:
IRB submissions and protocol development
Participant recruitment and enrollment, which requires travel within the community.
Data collection (training will be provided)
Data synthesis
Preparation of research reports and presentations
Work closely with Program Managers to coordinate and support efforts related to our portfolio of community-engaged research studies and projects.
Support the development and implementation of local, state, and national health interventions and evaluation plans.
Develop online tools, including REDCap survey tools, to collect qualitative and quantitative data.
Collaborate with community partners to ensure successful implementation of research projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
Two years of related experience.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities and tasks as assigned.

The Biomedical Research Scientist conducts research, develops, designs, and executes biomedical research studies, and assesses feasibility, scientific validity, and efficacy of selected Revance innovation projects, emerging technology, and current Revance products. Attend meetings, events and seminars in order to detail, discuss and promoted various Biomedical Innovation studies.
Collect specimens and input data and information into an electronic system.
Complete visits with study subjects, and schedule follow-ups for samples or evaluation.
Collaborate closely with other Revance research (Bioscience department) and Clinical staff in scheduling future appointments or shipments for biological sourced material to be evaluated in Biomedical assays.

POSITION SUMMARY

Leveraging their expertise in genetics and developmental biology, they will work closely with bioinformaticians to identify genetic variants of interest and test the effect of those variants in an embryonic avian model.
**This position is based on-site in Dallas, TX. Relocation assistance is available**
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain expertise and familiarity with genetics and development literature
Work closely with the bioinformatics team to identify genetic variants of interest
Perform in ovo electroporations and manipulations on avian embryos
Process, image, and analyze avian embryos of various stages using techniques such as fluorescent microscopy, whole mount skeletal staining and morphometrics
Design, develop, and implement novel experiments, techniques, procedures, protocols, and systems in line with research program objectives for non-model birds
Contribute to, and be responsible for, documentation, reports, presentations and publications associated with work
Skills and Abilities:
Experience with avian embryo manipulation, such as in ovo electroporation or embryonic tissue transplantation, OR relevant experience in other embryonic systems
Strong working knowledge of gene regulatory networks in embryonic development
Expertise in developmental biology or functional genomics, with experience in experimental design and multi-omic analyses (e.g., RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq).
Strong working knowledge of research methodology and study design; hypothesis testing; qualitative and quantitative data interpretation and application
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to move projects forward, make independent judgments, maintain accurate lab data, clearly understand and respond to experimental results, while communicating effectively
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members
Analytical and creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize own work and adapt to changing team priorities
Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
Very high level of comfort with productivity and communication software platforms (MS Office, GSuite, Slack, digital notebooks, project management systems, etc.)
Qualifications:
DVM/PHD in developmental biology, biological sciences, veterinary medicine, bioengineering, molecular biology, genetics, or any science related field is required
2+ years of experience in developmental biology strongly preferred
2+ years of experience working with avian eggs and embryos strongly preferred

A Research Assistant (RA) is a person who assists the CRC in the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials. Like the CRC, the RA position is multi-faceted, with a mix of administrative, medical, and patient duties. The RA assists the CRC, Principal Investigator (PI), and the sub-investigators (sub-I's) with multiple aspects of study implementation. Although the CRC is responsible for coordinating all activities related to clinical trial implementation, the RA will assist and can only perform those procedures for which he or she is qualified by training and which have been delegated by the PI to perform.
Responsibilities may include:
· Preparing lab kits for visit
· Ordering additional supplies as needed
· Pre-screening potential subjects
· Consenting subjects
· Conducting study visits
· Helping the CRC enter data into various systems
· Obtaining subject records from other physicians and/or hospitals
· Obtaining vital signs, laboratory specimens, ECGs
· Processing and packaging of lab specimens
