The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern for our Advocacy Team! The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, but a general engineering major is acceptable as well.
Your internship experience will include:
Evaluate the current project tracking and management system and identify sticking points or opportunities for improvement. Create brief reports that cover problems, opportunities, and possible new features that would improve the workflow.
Complete a literature review of recent AHRI and AHRTI projects, including project charters, contracts, and proposals. Consult with Research staff on current statuses and key points.
Complete a full meeting cycle around a specific project, including planning, agenda development, approval processes, meeting operation, and minutes. Learn proper formatting, writing style, and organizational practices.
Compile a list of current issues and trends in the HVACR (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration) world. Issues can be within the realm of policy, regulatory, technical issues/advancements, or research trends.
Attend various meetings and webinars both within and outside the organization to learn about these issues and gain an understanding of how the public and private sectors interact and coordinate.
Qualifications: Actively pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university. Consideration will be given to recent graduates (no more than 6 months since graduation date).
Skills: Microsoft Office skills, basic research skills.
Compensation: This is a part-time paid internship at $20/hour, up to 28 hours/week.

The Free the Slaves internship program is a formal effort to develop and train future leaders of the anti-slavery movement. We seek to provide each participant with training and hands-on experience in various facets of anti-slavery programming. We encourage students to arrange academic credit as Free the Slaves internships offer direct exposure to the workings of an international human rights organization and close supervision by FTS staff. Job Description: As a Part-Time Brain Trainer, you will provide one-on-one cognitive training sessions to our clients. You will work closely with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, to improve their cognitive abilities and help them achieve their cognitive goals. Your key responsibilities will include:
Implementing personalized cognitive training plans tailored to each client's needs
Delivering engaging and effective sessions using a variety of techniques and tools
Monitoring and documenting clients' progress and providing feedback
Maintaining accurate records of client sessions and progress reports
Trainer Responsibilities:
Work directly with students delivering our brain training programs.

The Georgetown Center for Retirement Initiatives (CRI) invites interested candidates to apply for a part-time Senior ResearchAssociate position. Defined by a passion for policy innovation, an interest public policy and public finance, and the legislative process, the part-time Senior ResearchAssociate is responsible for contributing to the center's core research, education, and technical assistance activities.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with public policy and public finance, economics and retirement related programs and policy, such as Social Security and employer-sponsored retirement plans. Work Interactions

Requirements and Qualifications
The part-time Senior ResearchAssociate will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and the ability to work as part of a team, to be strongly detailed oriented, and to manage multiple assignments at one time.
The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and experience:
* A graduate degree such as an MPA, MPP, JD, or MBA is preferred, although it can be substituted with 5 or more years of related work experience if bachelor's degree only.
* Individuals with Ph.D.s or currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in a subject relevant program, such as government, economics, or public administration are strongly encouraged to apply.
* Strong interest in business, economics, and public policy (especially as it relates to financial well-being, household finances, income security, asset building, financial services, retirement security, aging and demographic trends).
