Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the continent's leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation, seeks a Prospect Research Analyst to identify, research, and analyze information on current and prospective donors. The position reports to the Director of Prospect Development, who is based out of our Memphis, TN headquarters. Partial or full remote work may be available for the right candidate. The Analyst provides research support to DU leadership, as well as to development staff members, to inform development strategies and advance potential donor relationships. The Prospect Research Analyst qualifies, screens, and rates potential donors, and proactively identifies new prospective donors. Primary responsibilities include:
Conduct proactive research to identify new potential major and principal gift donors using news alerts, a review of weekly gift reports, wealth screening, and other methods.
Conduct quarterly prospect review sessions with assigned fundraisers to ensure accurate and up-to-date opportunities, status information and portfolio size and health.
Support wealth screening and predictive modeling projects. Help to independently verify screening results.
Update information in Blackbaud CRM following established data standards.
Using a variety of electronic resources, develop and synthesize information on prospects to produce informative profiles/background biographies with information on career, financial capacity, philanthropic interests, and relationship to DU.
Undertake financial analysis of prospects' and donors' known wealth indicators to assess potential philanthropic capacity.
Proactively track and disseminate donor and prospect-related information to development staff and selected DU leadership for cultivation and solicitation.
Monitor news and publicly-available financial information on current major and principal gift donors and prospects from SEC filings, press releases, and major newspapers.
Strategize and partner with development staff to support the development of high-capacity portfolios.
Develop supportive and productive relationships with development staff and other DU staff involved in fundraising.
Maintain proficiency with standard prospect research resources (electronic, print, and other) and stay abreast of new resources and technologies.
Use the database to track research activity for internal prospect research metrics.
Seek opportunities for professional development to enhance job performance.
Safeguard the confidentiality of constituent information at all times by adhering to ethical and confidentiality guidelines of DU and APRA, the professional organization for prospect research professionals.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of related experience in prospect research or related role, preferably in a fundraising environment. The successful candidate will have an affinity for Ducks Unlimited's mission and programs, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Additional qualifications include:
Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university.
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, technological tools available to DU, including Blackbaud CRM, Microsoft Windows computer environment, and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required).
Familiarity with Internet search strategies and experience using, or ability to learn quickly, electronic databases and online search tools such as LexisNexis for Development Professionals, GuideStar, Foundation Center, etc.
Demonstrated ability to retrieve, manipulate, analyze and synthesize information gathered from a variety of sources (electronic, print, and personal accounts).
High attention to detail and follow-up, and excellent organizational skills required - including the ability to prioritize and multi-task several projects simultaneously.
An aptitude for critical thinking and problem solving.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and tact.
Understanding of philanthropy (mission, practice, trends) and fundraising practices (the development cycle, general prospect management policies and practices).
Flexible and adaptable to new programs in an emerging and changing environment.
Candidates must be willing to work hours that extend outside of the typical workday and workweek throughout the year; some overnight travel is required.

About the Role:
Chief responsibilities include gynecologic oncologic surgical care of patients along with outpatient and inpatient consultation. This position is also responsible for training medical students, Residents, and Fellows. This position includes the opportunity for protected research time, and successful applicants are expected to both participate in and serve as site Primary Investigators on clinical in the Department of gynecologic oncology. There is also the opportunity for collaboration with other investigators in an exciting clinical research environment. This Physician will provide care in a clinic setting, offering state-of-the-art surgical options to patients (access to over 12 robotic Xi) to treat both malignant and benign diagnoses. The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible and possess excellent clinical and surgical training. We focus on high-volume clinical care, accessing the best education, research, and clinical care. We are laser-focused to bring the best care available to our communities of practice while focusing first on the balance of life that is mandatory for our gynecologic team. Outreach and giving back to the community are part of the culture at the West Cancer Center & Research Institute. ACGME: Committed to training Medical Students, OBGYN Residents, and Gynecologic Oncology Fellows. We have the only Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program in the state of Tennessee and are one of only 50 in the United States.

The applicant should be dedicating to a career of software development in genomics and general biomedical research. PhD in cancer, bioinformatics or relevant biological sciences is required. Proficiency in full-stack web development is required, including Linux, JavaScript, Node.js, R, Python, Rust, SQL and AI, along with knowledge in software testing, DevOps and Continuous Integration. While on the team, the new hire will work alongside other developers and PhD scientists and contribute to ongoing projects and have the opportunity to lead high-profile projects and give presentations or author scientific papers.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead computationally focused scientific research projects with moderate supervision from their PI.
Provide inputs regarding analytical approaches, set up analyses, and can develop new computational research methods with input from PI.
Identify, process, organize, summarize, review, and report relevant data.
Draft a manuscript and work through the submission and review process with input from the PI, as directed.
Instruct and provide guidance to other staff in basic computational research techniques and procedures.
(In the case of recent Ph.D. graduates, this position can be considered equivalent to a mentored postdoctoral position.)
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or related field required.
Master's degree or PhD preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
Experience Exception: Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (OR) PhD with no experience.
Rough criteria for this position based on publication output: 1-2 first author papers IF >5 (or equivalent contribution to other research outputs).
Prior experience in computational research techniques preferred.
Experience in project coordination, maintenance, and other research support activities preferred.
Compensation

The Bioinformatics Research Scientist is responsible for designing, developing, improving, modifying, and operating data analysis pipelines. Manages projects and coordinates other efforts related to analysis and infrastructure as directed.
The lab of Jeremy Chase Crawford is seeking a highly skilled bioinformatician to lead the computational analysis of next-generation immune repertoire sequencing data. This position will work at the cross-section of immunology and computational biology to decipher T-cell specificity in the context of vaccine responses (e.g., SARS-CoV-2) and pediatric immune development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing robust automated pipelines for novel assays-specifically TIRTLseq and 5'RACE-to track clonal expansion, infer HLA genotypes, and map TCRs to their cognate epitopes.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development & Automation:
Develop and maintain robust pipelines to automate the parsing, quality control, and characterization of human sequencing data.
Create automated reporting tools to characterize clonal expansion across longitudinal samples and assess sensitivity differences between assay platforms.
Advanced TCR Repertoire Analysis:
Perform paired chain (alpha/beta) analysis to infer patient HLA genotypes and "de-orphan" single-chain TCRs from earlier time points.
Utilize network analysis approaches to infer the epitopes recognized by expanding TCR clones.
Database Management:
Create and maintain databases to track subject and sample metadata, ensuring data integrity for any possible audits.
Merge wetlab and computational data sources (LIMS, Spreadsheets, devices, bioinformatic pipelines etc.) to create up-to-date reports in PoweBI.
Design and optimize a static and iteratively updated TCR/epitope matching database to predict antigen specificity.
Evaluate data for quality assurance and mine relevant bioinformatics databases to support wet-lab validation.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with wet-lab scientists to design experiments (e.g., defining sample exclusion criteria based on expansion evidence) and interpret complex immunological data.
Assist in the evaluation of products and solutions pertaining to St. Jude's technology needs (e.g., cloud computing integration).
Minimum Qualifications
For Senior Bioinformatics Analyst:
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant post-degree work experience (or Master's degree with 0-2 years experience) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
Experience in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and statistical package (R).
For Bioinformatics Research Scientist:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years experience, Master's with 2+ years, or PhD with no work experience.
Demonstrated ability to independently perform advanced statistical analysis and algorithm implementation.
Preferred Skills for this Project
TCR Specificity: Experience with immune repertoire tools (e.g., MiXCR, VDJtools, TCRdist) and handling paired-chain sequencing data.
