Your role at Clorox:
As a Principal Scientist in Product Formulation, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical formulation development, technology scouting and scale-up of Glad products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, supply chain, and regulatory, to bring innovative ideas to life. Your work will span new product innovation, actives formulation (fragrances, slurries, encapsulated materials, etc.) and claims improvements, optimization, cost savings, and sustainability.

In this role, you will:
Partner with Brand, Insights and R&D Innovation leads to identify and recommend a pipeline of technical discoveries that enable innovation concepts
Serve as a formulation expert and lead technical development on innovation and executional projects. Ensure seamless integration with process development and scale up technology.
Develop and create robust project plans for scaling up new and improved products and processes driven by consumer insights.
Collaborate closely with R&D peers, as well as marketing, sales, supply chain, and regulatory teams involved in development.
Leverage internal and external expertise, along with digital tools, to tackle cutting-edge technical problems.
Identify, select, and apply formulation technology from inside and outside sources to deliver against consumer and customer needs.
Lead the design and execution of technical testing to validate product performance, including developing new test methods, sensory evaluations and demos.
Analyze and interpret data to drive technical understanding, meet project targets, and make recommendations that drive efficiency and manage risk.
Track external industry technology development and trends to incorporate into business growth plans.
Collaborate with supply chain and engineering teams to ensure successful start-ups and influence future capabilities.
Work closely with domestic and international suppliers and manufacturers to provide innovative solutions and identify process improvements.
Travel expected around 20%.
What we look for:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Science or Engineering required.
Minimum 8 years of experience in product or process development, preferably in consumer products, plastic film extrusion or chemical formulation. Experience in Sensory Science, Fragrance development is a plus.

DePaul University's Social Transformation Research Collaborative (STRC) invites applications for one, one-year Post-Doctoral Humanities Fellowships in Comparative Race and Ethnicity Studies, to begin July 2025. The STRC is hosted by the Center for Black Diaspora and the Center for Latino Research and centered on key programs that focus on the historical trajectories, legacies and cultures of people of color African and Black Diaspora Studies, Latin American and Latino Studies, Global Asian Studies, and Critical Ethnic Studies. The Collaborative supports research in the humanities as a source of justice and healing for communities historically shaped by, and continuously facing, racism, violence, and dispossession.
The Comparative Race and Ethnicity Post-Doctoral Fellowships also reflect DePaul's University's Vincentian mission, which includes a scholarly commitment to the areas of race, equality, social justice and advocacy for historically oppressed and underserved populations. Fellowships are particularly designed to support innovation in the academy through structured mentoring and time for writing and scholarly activity, pedagogical development, and hands-on career experience for newly-minted scholars working in fields focused on the histories and cultures of people of color.
The Fellow will be housed in the Department of Latin American and Latino Studies and required to teach three courses in the humanities per year (one per 10-week quarter), cross-listed as appropriate. Specific courses and scheduling will be determined in consultation with the Fellow's department chair. Preference will be given to candidates who have had previous experience in teaching similar courses to the department's core: LST 201 Struggle and Resistance in Latin America, LST 203 Media and Cultural Representations of the Americas and LST 307 Growing-up Latino. In addition, Fellows will be expected to contribute to the Collaborative's discourse around its annual theme as speakers, presenters, and attendees at the Summer Institute for incoming students, an Annual Convening for the public, and Collaborative colloquia and other events. Collaborative Fellows will also be invited to participate in bi-weekly check-ins with mentor faculty as well as quarterly professional development workshops hosted by the Collaborative.
Qualifications:
Eligibility is restricted to humanities scholars who have received their PhD in Comparative Race and Ethnicity Studies, Latin American/Latino Studies, Ethnic Studies, or related fields no earlier than 2022 and who will have the PhD in hand by August 2025. Appointment will be for the academic year 2025-2026.
Each fellow will receive an academic year (10 month) salary and two months of summer compensation (starting in July 2025) to support teaching preparation, research, and summertime Collaborative activities. DePaul will also provide a moving expenses budget, office space and modest funds for travel and/or site-specific research. This is a benefits-eligible position.
NOTE: This is a post-doctoral (non-tenure track) position and is dependent on funding from non-university sources and the employment offer to fill this position is contingent on the continuation of that external funding. The selected candidate will not be eligible for tenure.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $16.69 to $25.05 per hour.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
