Evidence Generation Integrated Evidence Generation Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive evidence generation plans to support health economic modeling and HTA submissions. Observational Studies: Conduct retrospective and prospective observational studies to gather real-world evidence. Database Analyses: Perform analyses on large healthcare databases to identify trends and outcomes. Comparative Effectiveness Research and Indirect Treatment Comparisons: Design and execute studies to compare the effectiveness of different treatments, including indirect comparisons. Time-and-Motion Studies: Lead studies to evaluate the efficiency and resource utilization of healthcare interventions. Predictive Modeling: Work with cross functional teams to develop predictive models to forecast health outcomes and economic impacts. Epidemiologic Studies: Conduct epidemiologic studies, including but not limited to burden-of-illness assessment, natural history studies, and incidence/prevalence assessments, to understand disease impact. External Control Arm (ECA) Studies: Design and implement ECA studies to provide comparative data for clinical trials. Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessments for evaluating health outcomes that matter most to patients. Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) Methodologies: Apply EBM methodologies to ensure the highest quality of evidence to support health economic modeling, HTA submissions and payer discussions. 2. Strategic Leadership in Outcomes Research & Key Stakeholder Management: Lead and develop outcomes research strategies to support the company's portfolio of products and therapeutics, ensuring incorporation of both humanistic and economic endpoints into clinical trial designs and development plans across all phases of development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., clinical development, Medical Affairs, market access, regulatory affairs, and commercial teams) to ensure alignment of outcomes research initiatives with the company's strategic goals. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in academic, healthcare and payer domains to support outcomes research initiatives. Engage with industry associations, policymakers, and thought leaders to advocate for the importance of real-world evidence and outcomes research in shaping healthcare decisions. 3. Leadership & Communication: Communicate complex scientific and technical findings clearly and effectively to senior leadership (C-suite, VP-level), ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and can drive strategic decisions. Act as a spokesperson for outcomes research activities in internal and external settings 4. Operational Excellence & Team Management: Lead a team of RWE scientists and researchers, ensuring high standards of research quality, efficiency, and productivity. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical standards for RWE studies and outcomes research, including data privacy and patient consent. Monitor budget and resource allocation for RWE projects, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with organizational priorities. 5. Data Strategy and Methodology: Manage the selection and use of real-world data sources (e.g., electronic health records, claims data, registries, patient-reported outcomes) to support evidence generation. Develop and apply cutting-edge methodologies in statistical analysis, epidemiology, and health economics to generate robust evidence. Ensure data quality and integrity, including the appropriate validation, cleaning, and analysis of real-world data. The minimum qualifications for this role are: Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MPH, or equivalent) in epidemiology, health economics, biostatistics, public health, or a related field. Master's Degree required. Research Expertise: Extensive experience in conducting various types of studies, including observational, epidemiologic, and comparative effectiveness research. Health Economics Knowledge: Deep understanding of health economic modeling and its application in HTA submissions. Minimum of 5 years' experience of deep knowledge of evidence generation and outcomes research methodologies, with a track record of successful project delivery for innovative assets. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Technical expertise including, study protocol development, methods/algorithms, statistical and data analysis plan, and insights for publications. Strategic thinking: Strong ability to align outcomes research initiatives with the company's broader goals, including market access, commercialization, and regulatory strategy. Exceptional communication skills: Ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences, especially for executive leadership and external stakeholders. Stakeholder engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external partners, such as healthcare providers, payers, regulatory bodies, and academic institutions. Change management: Ability to lead and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes and market trends, driving innovation and continuous improvement in research practices. Global HTA Experience: Experience in preparing and submitting evidence for HTA submissions across various markets. Business acumen: Experience in aligning Outcomes Research work with product commercialization, including support to HE modelling, market access, and strategic decision-making processes. Given the strategic nature of the role, substantial experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is crucial. The ideal candidate should have: Experience in managing large datasets, conducting complex data analyses, and extracting meaningful insights. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
