Key Responsibilities Review electrical one-line diagrams, equipment submittals, and power system studies to ensure compliance with project requirements. Lead the development and execution of commissioning test scripts for MV/LV switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, and EPMS. Job Purpose Analyze new model design and layout to countermeasure concerns/problems prior to mass production by interfacing with functional experts and other department representatives to summarize and present results to Research and Development for implementation of permanent countermeasures. Effectively interacts with Manufacturing Departments, Support Departments, Suppliers and Research & Development to obtain consensus when determining root cause and suggesting countermeasures to gain a clear resolution to problems. They will also perform completed car testing during trial stages to ensure the design intent is realized with actual vehicle performance. These tests are a combination of static and dynamic tests. Found problems will be investigated to determine root cause and countermeasures applied Key Accountabilities Support Plant-wide problem analysis and prevention activities. Resolve complex issues impacting both the product and customers. Find temporary solutions to issues when essential to sustain safety, quality, and delivery. Document each defect or issue as needed and issue trouble reports as necessary. Provide feedback concerning quality issues to the appropriate and or responsible party. Act as the liaison to Research & Development for all Departments. Issue Manufacturing Instructions to temporarily fix design concerns. Approve and assign application timing for Design Change points for HAM. Qualifications/Experience/Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related associates degree with experience; or equivalent experience. Minimum Experience: 0-6 years experience based on education, preferred at least 1 term as a Co-op for Honda or in a similar manufacturing environment. Other Job-Specific Skills: New Model development know how, knowledge of drawing release and application methods, know how to get the New Model job done, including key job processes and use of design evaluation tools. Knowledge of Honda New Model Sales, Engineering, and Design/Development (SED) flow, how to mature car design. Prioritization skills drives continuous improvement, good interpersonal skills.
