The Urban Transportation Center (UTC) was established as a UIC campus unit in 1979. The unit has a strong research, teaching and service history and a long-range strategic plan designed to position the UTC as the premier urban university center with a focus on transportation. Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (known as Fermilab) seeks highly qualified candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Physics Simulation Department of the Computational Science and Artificial Intelligence Directorate. The selected candidate will pursue foundational work to develop and lead a broad low-energy science program in DUNE and other neutrino experiments, including measurements of MeV-scale astrophysical neutrinos and searches for a variety of phenomena beyond the Standard Model. Software development in C++ will be a major job responsibility, with the goal to deliver improvements to the physics models and technical capabilities of the MARLEY neutrino event generator. Analysis of data from liquid argon time projection chambers will be the other primary focus of the role, with initial work on cross-section measurements in the Short-Baseline Neutrino program experiments (SBND, MicroBooNE, and ICARUS) transitioning to related low-energy analyses in the DUNE far detector.

The High Energy Physics Division at Argonne National Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position to conduct research in machine learning (ML) for applications in High-Energy Physics (HEP). We seek highly qualified candidates with interest and experience in ML algorithms including unsupervised techniques, time-series modeling, and clustering algorithms. The candidate is expected to lead an effort to prepare generalized ML techniques for data quality monitoring for tasks across multiple HEP experiments. Experiments with Argonne involvement include, but are not limited to, ATLAS at CERN, the South Pole Telescope, and the Simons Observatory.
The candidate is also expected to work closely with computational experts at the Computational Science (CPS) division, designing and executing ML experiments on leadership-class computing facilities such as the Aurora and Polaris supercomputers. The New Work Exploration team is responsible for researching, developing, and proposing new areas of grantmaking and ways of working for the Foundation. The Pediatric Physician Scientist Research Award (PPSRA) Program is intended as one strategy in addressing this limitation by providing intramural Departmental support for actively and/or newly recruited junior investigators who show outstanding potential for developing an independently funded research program. This is a Research and Development (R&D) role leading Productivity Pipeline product development initiatives across all businesses within the Kraft Heinz North America. The candidate will be developing and executing work plans and driving for results to meet business initiatives focused on productivity idea development and execution. This includes basic understanding of the business need, commercialization, designing and executing tests, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, documenting, and communicating results to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Components of the role

Product development and commercialization experience as well as direct experience with are desired but not a prerequisite

Position Summary:

Our laboratory aims to understand the relation between heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and metabolic disorders that are more frequently seen in postmenopausal women. We focus on P21-activated kinase 1 (PAK1) regulatory activities and how these activities are governed by estrogens in the heart and the adipose tissue. We have different murine models of heart failure and we use non-invase and invasive techniques to evaluate cardiac function and metabolism.

We seek highly qualified candidates with interest and experience in ML algorithms including unsupervised techniques, time-series modeling, and clustering algorithms. The candidate is expected to lead an effort to prepare generalized ML techniques for data quality monitoring for tasks across multiple HEP experiments.
