The Pottier Laboratory at WashU Medicine is excited to announce an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The overarching goal of the laboratory is to identify disease associated events that may serve as both therapeutic targets and biomarkers for early onset dementia such as early onset Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia. Our research leverages comprehensive genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic analyses within highly characterized and unique cohorts. We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow that will lead projects that involve genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics. The successful candidate will leverage unique population cohorts and innovative approaches to discover pathways related to disease presentation. The Pottier Laboratory is part of the NeuroGenomics and Informatics Center at WashU. Job Summary Postdoctoral Researchers support teams of KSU faculty and students (undergraduate and graduate students), which engage with external collaborators from other universities, community members, government agencies, and/or private sector entities to stimulate innovation, capacity-building, and sustainability of research and scholarly activity at KSU. The Postdoctoral Researcher will contribute to advancing research at the intersection of infrastructure resilience, data analytics, and intelligent systems. WashU Medicine, Department of Neurology, has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the NeuroGenomics and Informatics Center (NGI). The successful candidate will be involved in projects to perform big-data research, bundling genetics, multi-omics, biomarker, clinical, and histopathological data, to harness the full range of biologically relevant data to better understand Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. There is a particular emphasis on addressing important questions regarding sex dimorphisms, ancestry, and health disparities in Alzheimer's disease. Another primary focus is the cross-modal integration of Alzheimer's disease genomics with brain-imaging derived phenotypes to elucidate how genetics contributes to disease heterogeneity. Overall, this research will contribute importantly to the discovery of novel risk genes, steer basic research and drug development, and advance personalized medicine.
