The Computer Science Department in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oregon offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Computer Science; instruction is provided by 16 tenure track faculty, 2 emeritus faculty, and 6 career instructor faculty. The department serves approximately 600 undergraduate and 90 graduate majors, as well as offering a number of general education classes in the discipline. The primary research foci of the tenure track faculty are high-performance computing, data science, networking, and distributed systems with cross-cutting concerns of security and privacy.
Position Summary
The Computer Science Department at the University of Oregon invites applicants for its open pool for Research Assistants, Research Associates, and Postdoctoral Scholars to assist with grant-supported research. Positions are limited in duration, not to exceed one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of three years, taking into consideration need, funding, and/or performance.

Eugene Center for Anxiety and Stress is a training-oriented, specialty behavioral health clinic that provides evidence-based, inclusive, and multiculturally sensitive treatment and assessment services to the Eugene-Springfield community. As a specialty therapy clinic, we are particularly interested in psychologists with experience treating anxiety, OCD, and PTSD from a third-wave CBT approach and a background utilizing exposure therapy. Our assessment clinic provides opportunities for psychological or neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan, with a range of referral questions (Autism and ADHD being the most commonly requested evaluations). Primary Responsibilities:
* Regularly perform intakes, diagnostic evaluations, prepare and monitor treatment planning while engaging in appropriate client therapy practices and following guidance provided by one's supervisor
* Engage in crisis interventions, stabilization, and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client safety
* Timely and accurately document all client interactions as dictated by law, ethical standards, board requirements and ECAS policy and practices

* Conduct campus-wide needs assessment and SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats) analyses to evaluate and improve research impact.
* Develop recommendations for aligning OSU practices with established research impact assessment protocols.
* Engage campus stakeholders across university colleges, centers, institutes, and central administration in assessment planning; establish systems to share information, incorporate feedback, and gain buy-in for a campus-wide research impact assessment plan.

What You Will Need
* Master's Degree in social sciences, education, or human dimensions of science, engineering, technology or business AND five years of professional experience in evaluation and assessment related to research impacts.
* Substantial training and professional experience (combined minimum of 5 years) applying mixed methods (both quantitative and qualitative) research and/or evaluation to assess the efficacy and value of research programs and/or organizations.
* Experience effectively working with teams to develop evaluation plans for research programs (>5 million total budgets) and/orresearch organizations.
* Demonstrated ability to expertly develop and apply tools of evaluation with inter- and transdisciplinary teams including logic models, theories of change, survey instruments, artifact assessment, observational protocols, and formative and summative reporting.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule

Position Summary

The Department of Linguistics, an academic unit of the College of Arts and Sciences, provides undergraduate and graduate degrees. Position Summary
The Linguistics Department at the University of Oregon invites applications for a Pro Tem Research Assistant, Research Associate and Postdoctoral Scholar pool. Eugene Center for Anxiety and Stress is a training-oriented, specialty behavioral health clinic that provides evidence-based, inclusive, and multiculturally sensitive treatment and assessment services to the Eugene-Springfield community. As a specialty therapy clinic, we are particularly interested in psychologists with experience treating anxiety, OCD, and PTSD from a third-wave CBT approach and a background utilizing exposure therapy. Our assessment clinic provides opportunities for psychological or neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan, with a range of referral questions (Autism and ADHD being the most commonly requested evaluations). **Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Regularly perform intakes, diagnostic evaluations, prepare and monitor treatment planning while engaging in appropriate client therapy practices and following guidance provided by one's supervisor
+ Engage in crisis interventions, stabilization, and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client safety

40% Institutional Assessment of Research Impact
+ Conduct campus-wide needs assessment and SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats) analyses to evaluate and improve research impact.
+ Develop recommendations for aligning OSU practices with established research impact assessment protocols.
+ Engage campus stakeholders across university colleges, centers, institutes, and central administration in assessment planning; establish systems to share information, incorporate feedback, and gain buy-in for a campus-wide research impact assessment plan.
+ Establish OSU specific research impact indicators that align with national organizations and designations (e.g. APLU , Carnegie, AAU , AAC &U, U.S. News and World Report, etc.)

30% Contribute to Research Advancement Initiatives
+ Coordinate with, and when appropriate provide leadership for the OSU evaluation community of practice.
+ Conduct needs assessments and evaluations for programs such as the Research Advancement Academy, learning labs, ignite sessions and large proposal support services.
+ Provide evaluation consultation and support to special initiatives led by the offices of the President and Provost.
+ Generate evaluation plans, conduct evaluations, and provide actionable recommendations to DRI programs and initiatives as assigned.
10% Reporting and Communications, Deliver written and oral reports to OSU administrative leadership, colleges, centers, and institutes.

+ Contribute with DRI strategic communications by providing qualitative and quantitative data for annual reports.

What You Will Need
+ Master's Degree in social sciences, education, or human dimensions of science, engineering, technology or business AND five years of professional experience in evaluation and assessment related to research impacts.
+ Substantial training and professional experience (combined minimum of 5 years) applying mixed methods (both quantitative and qualitative) research and/or evaluation to assess the efficacy and value of research programs and/or organizations.
+ Experience effectively working with teams to develop evaluation plans for research programs (>5 million total budgets) and/orresearch organizations.
+ Demonstrated ability to expertly develop and apply tools of evaluation with inter- and transdisciplinary teams including logic models, theories of change, survey instruments, artifact assessment, observational protocols, and formative and summative reporting.

Department Summary

The department offers a rapidly growing Data Science undergraduate program, offered for the first time in Fall 2020 and projected to have up to 420 undergraduate majors in 2027.
Data Science is a new department that has grown out of a long-standing initiative to increase scholarship and education in quantitative methodology at the University of Oregon. We envision the Data Science Department to be a hub of ethical methodological data science research, with strong connections to domain areas of application, overall facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration across the university. Current faculty and affiliates reflect strengths in machine learning, biological modeling, data ethics, data sovereignty, computer science, environmental data science, climate change policy and modeling, evolutionary genetics, and forensic genetics.
Position Summary
The Data Science Department at the University of Oregon invites applicants for its open pool for Research Assistants, Research Associates, and Postdoctoral Scholars to assist with supported research. Positions are limited in duration, not to exceed one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of three years, taking into consideration need, funding, and/or performance.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the rank of Research Assistant (Type B):
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
To qualify for the rank of Research Assistant (Type C):
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
To qualify for the rank of Research Associate or Postdoctoral Scholar:
• PhD in Computer Science or related field.

Department Summary
The Department of Linguistics, an academic unit of the College of Arts and Sciences, provides undergraduate and graduate degrees. Our fundamental interest is in the nature of language, how language is used, and how this use impacts language learning, processing, and structure over historical and developmental time. Given this interest, we are also invested in the practical and interdisciplinary aspects of language and its use; that is, in its normal and disordered acquisition, teaching, maintenance, revitalization, loss, and also in its social impact and interrelation with social structures and institutions.
Position Summary
The Linguistics Department at the University of Oregon invites applications for a Pro Tem Research Assistant, Research Associate and Postdoctoral Scholar pool. Applications will be reviewed as research opportunities develop. These positions are funding-contingent and temporary in nature, potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need, funding, and performance.
Postdoctoral Scholar appointees will conduct research under the direction of a faculty member for the purpose of acquiring research training.
