The candidate will participate in a research program in basic cardiovascular physiology, pharmacology and related cellular/molecular biology. The candidates will design, test, and evaluate the methods and protocols, analyze, summarize, and organize data along with the principal investigator, the applicants must be highly motivated with some experiences in vascular research related molecular biology. Additional experiences in SiRNA/RNA analysis, site-direct mutagenesis Array mitochondrial analysis, and cardiomyocytes and endothelial cell culture are highly desired.

Develops new research protocols to carry out established research objectives.

Collects and analyzes data using bioinformatic, phylogenetic and statistical methodologies and software.
Participates in interpretation of the results through conferences with supervisor(s), and other researchers to review data compared to hypothesis and research methodology in instances of inexplicable data.
Reviews/summarizes literature pertaining to research being conducted in the scientific area of interest.
Writes presentations, and manuscripts based on research performed.
Performs other duty as assigned.

New College of Florida invites recent Ph.D. recipients (within the last three years) or recipients who anticipate receiving their Ph.D. to apply for appointments as America at 250 Postdoctoral Fellows for the period February 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027 with the possibility of renewal. Appointments will be made through the America at 250 Search Committee drawn from political science faculty within the social sciences division. The location for the appointment is in-person on the campus of New College of Florida. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to be in residence in order to fulfill a range of responsibilities relating to our America at 250 initiative, including events, seminars, presentations, lectures, community engagements, meetings, and office hours. Psychological Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive intake interviews to determine medical necessity and appropriate testing batteries.

Outpatients may be seen at USF Health Clinics. The inpatient services will include consultations at Tampa General Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital. As a clinical teaching faculty, the chosen candidate will be expected to participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and genetic counselor students, as well as participate in research programs, including clinical trials and other clinical research.
Responsibilities
Clinical: The candidate will provide inpatient consultative services for inborn errors of metabolism and general genetics at Tampa General Hospital and general genetics at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, as well as outpatient USF Health clinics.
Research: Participate in research programs to expand the scholarly activities of the division. The incumbent will be encouraged to participate in clinical trials and other clinical research.
Teaching: Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, fellows and genetic counselor students.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited institution. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Clinical Genetics and Genomics and be eligible for full unrestricted Florida Medical License.
Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a climate controlled indoor administrative office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, depending upon the office or meeting location. Ability to work overtime and weekends if needed.
Physical Demands and Activities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to remain stationary. The employee is rarely required to move about the office, operate a computer and other office machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and computer printer; rarely position self to maintain files; rarely moves boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. Close and distance observation required with ability to observe objects at close range in presence of glare or bright lighting (e.g., computer screen). Must possess the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand and have the ability to interact with external and internal stakeholders.
NTC Non-Exempt Operations Position
The amount of work that needs to be accomplished to service the needs of NTC clients is subject to fluctuations. Due to these fluctuations, NTC may require its employees to move from an area where work is slower to an area where their services are more needed by NTC.
The willingness of personnel to assist in or move to other areas within NTC, when needed, is an important factor for the company to meet the needs of our clients. NTC strives to communicate in advance any change in job duties, roles, expectations, etc., however advance notice may not always be possible.
