The Research Specialist is assigned to provide support for the officers, staff, and members on a citywide basis. The Research Specialist is responsible to the Strategic Research Director. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A. Monitor and maintain a database of pertinent information relevant to bargaining, organizing and preservation of the tenets of UTLA. B. Collect and analyze public records in order to understand school district practices and policies, finances, and other relevant issues. C. What You'll Do Conduct cutting-edge research on flow-matching, diffusion, and score-based methods for 3D generation and reconstruction. Design and implement scalable training pipelines for controllable 3D generation (meshes, Gaussians, NeRFs, voxels, implicit fields). AcuraStem is advancing a novel therapeutic approach for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) using patient-derived stem cell models. AcuraStem is working to identify new targets and therapeutic approaches employing patient neuronal models in order to find a treatment for ALS. AcuraStem has developed the iNeuroRx platform which utilizes human iPSC derived cells in order to mimic neuromuscular, and neurodegenerative neuron diseases such as ALS. AcuraStem is seeking a research associate to support our iNeuroRx disease modeling platform. This platform will be employed for target discovery/validation, biomarker evaluation and the construction of additional neurodegenerative disease models. The research associate is expected to work in close cooperation with AcuraStem scientists. The incumbent candidate should have experience with mammalian cell culture. The research associate will follow detailed protocols in excruciating detail but also has the ability to propose improvements and changes when necessary. Responsibilities: Maintain cell lines (hi PSCs/HEK/Glia cell) with sterile techniques. Performing biochemistry/molecular biology assays. Support and collaborate with scientists, labs, vendors and industry experts to ensure completion of tasks/projects. Gather, organize and analyze technical information for research study design and for publications and submissions as needed. Initiate scientific documents for research, including study reports, protocols, and other related documents. Qualifications B.S. in a biology discipline (Biology, Neuroscience, Bioengineering) Experience in mammalian cell culture Experience in plasmid DNA preparation, immunostaining, ELISA Effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization Demonstrated team player with the ability to work with little supervision. Knowledge of EH&S procedures Additional Information Scheduling flexibility, which includes late evening, weekend and holiday work hours is required. Due to the demands of maintaining healthy cell cultures, weekend work will be required. Travel may be required to various AcuraStem laboratory sites (~5%). The candidate must already be in the USA and approved to work immediately.

Exempt/Non -exempt: Non-exempt Reports to: Associate Director, Database Operations Date : January 12, 2026 : The Donor Prospect Research Associate collaborates closely with the Development team to ensure fundraisers are equipped with accurate, actionable, and timely prospect intelligence. This role applies research and data analysis expertise to build and maintain robust prospect pools, support data-driven fundraising strategies, and inform donor engagement efforts. This position is also responsible for prospect portfolio distribution, prospect-related reporting, and the ongoing maintenance of prospect research data within the Raiser's Edge database. Essential Functions: Conduct comprehensive prospect research using a wide range of biographical, organizational, and financial sources, including online databases, public records, and other reputable resources. Prepare concise, high-level donor briefings and profiles for PCF leadership and Development staff. Record and maintain donor biographies, ratings, and related research data in Raiser's Edge to ensure accuracy and usability. Assess prospective donors' capacity, inclination, philanthropic history, and connections to PCF. Analyze complex information to identify gift capacity and provide clear recommendations to guide donor engagement strategies. Provide administrative support to gift officers, including preparing donor lists, briefing materials, and other stewardship tasks. Partner with gift officers, consultants, and Development leadership to share research findings, insights, and strategies. Support effective communication and coordination across the Development team to advance fundraising goals. Identify and correct data entry errors and inconsistencies. Ensure donor data is secure and handled in compliance with organizational policies. Stay current on best practices, tools, and trends in prospect research, prospect management, and the broader Development field. Always adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards established by PCF. Maintain documentation of data research procedures and best practices. Maintain knowledge and understanding of PCF's mission, programs, and fundraising needs and goals. Required Skills/Competencies : Proficiency in Raiser's Edge or a comparable non-profit CRM software. Demonstrated experience in prospect research, data analysis, and development services within a nonprofit or higher education environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise and accurate research profiles.
