WHAT YOU'LL DO
This position is responsible for various financial analysis activities for the Clinical Study Payments Team including but not subject to, new study budget review, study and site budget set up, invoice processing, customer service inquiries. It is also responsible for various reporting and month end activities.
Major and On-going Job Duties:
• Acts as a liaison and consultant for specific study team's monthly analysis, budgeting,
quarterly forecasting, and annual strategic planning processes
• Responsible for generating and processing clinical study reimbursements which include
invoices and quarterly payments
• Assist in the facilitation of new study budget set up, quarterly payments, and special
reports
• Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing relevant reports and
analysis
• Special project analysis and support involving clinical study payment data
• Work as a liaison with the Clinical Study Data Systems team for application
enhancements
• Performs analysis of clinical study payment data per defined requirements
• Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes of

associated financial revenue for upcoming visits
• Reviews study budget in Clinical Study Payments Application to ensure proper visit
accruals

Experience & Training:
Equivalent education level and experience required:
Must have 1-3 years' experience in finance/accounting.
1-2 years' experience in invoicing
Ability to manage multiple applications at once (Concur, Oracle, SAP)
Previous experience within a clinical trial setting or clinical research setting is highly preferred for this position
• Experience with automated accounting systems. Strong knowledge of relational databases
preferred.
• Demonstrated familiarity with MS Office, especially Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated oral and written interpersonal, communication, analytical, presentation, and
organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines/work independently. Must be adept at handling multiple assignments

Position Summary: This role is designed for current college students, particularly rising seniors, who are interested in building a career in Data Analytics and/or Data Science. The Summer Data Analyst Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting product strategy, customer success, and business intelligence initiatives by assisting with data analysis, reporting, and insight generation.
The internship offers exposure to real-world datasets and cross-functional collaboration with teams including Customer Success, Product, and Data & Analytics. Interns will develop practical analytics skills while learning how data informs customer outcomes and strategic business decisions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support senior Data Analyst by assisting with historical data analysis, basic data scrubbing, mapping, and validation.
Analyze user behavior, product performance, and operational data under the guidance of senior analysts.
Support the review and interpretation of early machine-learning model outputs and help prepare materials for internal or customer-facing presentations.
Conduct competitor, industry, and market research to support product and strategic planning.
Participate in discussions with business stakeholders to help document requirements and prototype new analytic ideas.
Assist with small-scale feature analysis or process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with data and analytics team members to support data quality checks and documentation efforts.
Develop foundational knowledge in transportation data and related business domains.
Education & Experience
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
Prior internship, academic projects, or coursework related to data analysis, analytics, or business intelligence is a plus.
Interest in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Skills & Abilities Required
Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational databases (or coursework covering these topics).
Exposure to BI or data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker (academic or personal projects acceptable).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
Foundational understanding of data analysis concepts and metrics.
Curiosity and a strong analytical mindset with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from mentors.
Exposure to Python, data pipelines, ETL concepts, or Agile methodologies is a plus but not required.
Non-Negotiable Logistic Requirements:
Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
Must be able to work onsite five days per week at our Dallas headquarters; housing assistance is not provided
Compensation for this role is $24 per hour.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the full duration of the internship without current or future employer sponsorship
Program dates: June 8 through August 7
