Reality Labs (RL) focuses on delivering Meta's vision through AI-first devices that leverage Mixed Reality (MR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The compute performance and power efficiency requirements of Mixed and Augmented Reality require custom silicon. Reality Labs Silicon team is driving the state of the art forward with highly integrated SoCs that leverage breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our chips will enable AR & MR devices that blend our real and virtual worlds throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistors, through architecture, firmware, and algorithms. We are seeking research interns with a background in Performance Modeling, Performance Simulation Methodologies, and Computer Architecture to improve our performance modeling collateral and use those models to guide the architecture of AR/MR silicon. Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Minimum Qualifications
* Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
* Experience with programming in C/C++ and Python (scripting)
* Experience in computer architecture (NoC, DRAM, Cache, MMU)
* Understanding of how to leverage performance modeling to support architectural exploration, with exposure to heterogeneous hardware architectures
* Understanding of HW power, performance and area trade offs
* Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
* Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
* Experience in academic computer architecture simulators such as GEM5, SIMICS, etc
* Publication track record in computer architecture conferences is a plus - covering areas in high performance computing, memory systems, multi-core and/or accelerator architectures (e.g., ISCA, ASPLOS, MICRO, HPCA, DAC, NOCS, ISPASS, PACT, etc.)
Responsibilities
* Build APIs and/or custom wrappers to integrate various perf modeling components, develop test suites to formally verify the functionality and performance of the integrated models
* Identify areas of optimization to increase the speed of simulation infrastructure either through code refactoring or code restructuring
* Conduct performance & power explorations of various architectural components using built performance models (including blocks such as NoC, DRAM, MMUs, etc)

Position Description
The Monarch Research and Education Internship offers hands-on experience in monarch monitoring, habitat assessments, conservation, and community outreach. Interns conduct field research using standardized protocols and work directly with biologists and Natural Resource Managers on military lands.
This is a field-focused position. Interns typically spend four days each week outdoors and one day completing data entry, writing, and administrative tasks. Fieldwork involves documenting milkweed presence, identifying blooming plants, and recording monarch eggs, larvae, and adults. Interns also support outreach activities designed to inspire interest in monarchs, pollinators, and migration among military families and school-aged children. All interns write biweekly blogs and attend virtual team meetings and webinars.
Interns who continue into the fall season assist with capturing, tagging, and measuring monarchs during migration.
Key Responsibilities
Field Research
Conduct monarch and habitat surveys during peak breeding periods
Collect data on milkweed, nectar plants, and monarch life stages
Navigate and work safely on military installations
Communication & Team Engagement
Maintain regular communication with Natural Resource Managers and partner organizations

Qualifications
Degree/Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent as a minimum.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support
Must possess and maintain current Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or higher from the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
Experience:
Knowledge of all aspects of refractive surgery and the pre-operative and post-operative management of refractive surgery patients.
Knowledge of clinic regulations, policies, and procedures to receive visitors and patients, screen phone calls, and answer or refer questions.
Knowledge of the internal organization of patient records in order to search the record to extract medical information and data relevant to patient care.
Knowledge required requisitioning equipment, supplies, and services. Have at least 3 years previous experience in an Ophthalmology Department performing evaluations of refractive surgery patients to include use of a topographer, orb scan, ultrasound, A-scan, pachymeter, and Wavefront analyzer.

Duties
Perform initial medical screening of patients including history, distance and near visual acuity with and without correction or pinhole, pupillary light reflex, and application tonometry; assist with all aspects of patient care.
Evaluate triage patients needing immediate attention.
Answer or refer patient questions and chaperone patient exams, as needed.
Establish a sterile field and assists with minor surgical procedures including PRK and LASIK and other refractive surgical procedures.
Perform ophthalmic studies including auto refraction, keratometry, tonometry, visual field testing, pachymetry, specular microscopy, ophthalmic photography, potential acuity, brightness acuity, and other studies.
Use and maintain an autorefractor, phoropter, auto and manual keratometer, tonopen, Humphrey and Goldman visual field machines, corneal topographer, A-scan machine, pachymeter, specular microscope, ophthalmic photography equipment, slit lamp, potential acuity meter, brightness acuity test, color vision plates, stereo vision test, and personal computers.
Assist, educate, and train PRK staff, Ophthalmology Clinic residents, and other technicians in day-to-day clinic activities including organizing and maintaining exam room stocks.
Assist with clinical training activities to include laser certification wet labs, optometrist co-manager certification courses, and resident educational activities.
Perform Excimer laser responsibilities to include equipment and instrument inventory and upkeep.
Assist with clinical research protocols to include consenting subjects, assisting with completion of required study documentation, verification and auditing of study documents, data extraction, and handling of animals in research.
Be able to quickly learn new and unfamiliar technology, test equipment, and procedures being trialed for the Warfighter Refractive Surgery Program.
Assist in administrative/clinical duties such as filing and answering phones.

**Job Description**
Affinius Capital is seeking a full-time Summer Intern to assist with creating innovative approaches that are enabled by technology to redesign and automate business processes in research, property analysis, and financial modeling/reporting. Interns will have the opportunity to work in our Innovation Center with Global Research's Data Science group. Interns will have the opportunity to build scalable data engineering pipelines, machine learning solutions, and data visualization dashboards, aiming to improve the overall data analytics and business decision-making processes. The established software development and project management skills can also be applied on the projects. Interns will learn about the real estate investment and decision-making processes of the organization while interfacing with senior management. **Requirements**
+ Graduate students enrolled in a Data Science or related program completing their first year
+ Excellent academic background with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above. GPA of 3.5 and above preferred.

+ Proficiency in R or Python

**The Opportunity**
This opportunity may lead to selection into a two-year development rotational program following graduation. The Finance Future Leaders Program Data track has the goal to develop future finance leaders by focusing on data and analytics business components that support finance functions, that leverage strong technical skills and strategic thinking ability through mentorship, training modules, regular and timely performance feedback, and stretch projects that focus on driving business improvement and efficiencies. Each rotational assignment will be approximately 8 months in length but may vary based on business need. Participants can expect to have exposure to assignments within data science, decision science, and business analytics.
**Example Internship Assignments:**
+ **Information Stewardship and Data Governance:** Leads Finance Information assets and remedies gaps related to Enterprise Data Governance requirements. Builds and implements data monitoring rules using a variety of techniques and tools, supports data management efforts in adherence to USAA internal policies, standards, procedures, and external laws and regulations.
+ **Business Intelligence:** Analyzes business problems and incidents using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to analysts and decision makers. Builds specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
+ **Insight Delivery** : Within defined guidelines and frameworks, consults with the business to understand and define opportunities and recommends solutions by analyzing data and providing key insights to advise decisions.
+ **Data Science:** Within defined guidelines and framework, translates business problems into applied statistical, machine learning, simulation, and optimization solutions to advise actionable business insights and drive business value through automation, revenue generation, and expense and risk reduction.

**What you'll do:**
Under direct supervision and following risk and compliance procedures and guidance, you will perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members tasks, including the following.
+ Captures business requirements by partnering with customers to define the business problem and data needs.
+ Ensures that information management practices: Metadata management, Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Profiling, etc. are coordinated into appropriate business and technology processes in support of the Information Governance policy.
+ Uses basic knowledge of multiple data structures and sources to support the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, which may include data visualization, business intelligence, data transformation, or data collection.
+ Develops partnerships with IT execution teams on the development of analytic infrastructures, data engineering, or related business intelligence enablement efforts. Includes collaborating on the design and implementation of technical standards and governance practices.
+ Supports the delivery of business insights using machine learning, simulation, and optimization.
+ Acquires knowledge of data analysis techniques, technologies, and methodologies. Works closely with more senior data scientists to perform hands-on model life cycle related tasks.
+ Partners with senior team members to develop and deploy models within the Model Development Life Cycle (MDLC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) framework.
**What you need to have:**
To qualify, you must be a bachelor's degree or higher degree, from an accredited college or university, in mathematics, computer science statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, science and engineering, or other similar quantitative discipline. **Our 2026 internship will start on May 27, 2026 and last through August 7, 2026.**

+ 0 to 2 years of experience in Information or Data related practices to include: information governance, information management, information architecture, IT, analysis, and reporting.
