Create, validate, and design data-based decision tools.
Create new reports and update existing reports providing insights to business partners
Collects, reviews, and analyzes information relative to current operations to support management requests.
Creates tools and reports to solve problems through the most efficient and effective use of time, software & equipment
Collaborate with team members on department and company-wide projects
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
Ability to apply sound judgment and strong decision-making skills.
Qualifications
Strong Excel and SQL scripting skills
Strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
Experience in data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and/or Python experience a plus but not required
Excellent organization skills, able to handle multiple tasks at once
Willingness to tackle challenges with a positive attitude
Candidates should have taken at least one of the following courses:
CIS 325 Fundamental Techniques for Business Data Analytics Manipulating, processing, cleaning and crunching data with a focus on utilizing scripting and programming tools
CIS 407 Business Database Systems Development: database and data warehousing systems, development and management.
CIS 409 Business Data Warehouses and Dimensional Modeling: SQL, stored procedures and data warehouse architectures
CIS 415 Big Data and AI in Business: Platforms and architectures for building and working with large-scale structured, unstructured and multidimensional data sources and systems with a focus on utilizing these tools in business applications.
