About The Role: The Vice President, Research & Analytics, will develop and oversee HIDA's market research products, services and programs. In this new position, the VP will lead a significant expansion of HIDA business intelligence program, including developing predictive analytics to help healthcare products distributors and manufacturers anticipate demand for medical products, creating and delivering new research products, and building a new AI-powered Knowledge Center platform. As a result, HIDA's executive-level audience will have greater insight on demand for medical products, changing customer needs, and the impact of government policies and other external factors on growth.
About HIDA: The Health Industry Distributors Association is the premier trade association representing distributors serving healthcare providers. HIDA members deliver essential medical products to the nation's hospitals, nursing homes, laboratories, home care, and physician practices. HIDA is a leading voice on matters important to the healthcare distribution industry as well as the healthcare supply chain.
The HIDA office is located in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, and operates on a flexible 3-days in-office, 2 days remote schedule. This position requires travel 5-6 times per year.

Strategic Leadership
Develop/execute roadmap for HIDA's research and analytics capabilities, including a new Knowledge Center, to deliver future-focused insights and forecasts.
Recruit and lead a small business intelligence team
Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, consultants, and/or data providers to expand research capabilities.
Share HIDA research and insights in webinars, social media, articles, and presentations.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, NLP) to enhance research outputs and operational efficiency.

Clarivate Data Program
Oversee partnership with HIDA's data partner, Clarivate, data aggregation program creating market share insights for medical products manufacturers
Find new ways to leverage this resource to create additional insights and value for HIDA members
Collaborate with the Clarivate team on strategies to grow revenue for both partners

Who We're Looking For
Experience - We'd love for you to have 3+ years' experience working in consumer insights, consumer research or in an analyst/strategy role at an entertainment/media/technology company.

Job Overview
Collaborates and leads the production of research (40%) and evaluation (60%) deliverables. Produces meaningful park and recreation research focused on projects spanning diverse themes with an underlying goal of improving park and recreation agencies and increasing exposure of their good works by leading the written and verbal communication of public-facing research findings and other deliverables and collaborating with the Senior Research Manager and Interim Director of Research and Evaluation to develop and maintain research production plans for new and repeating data collection efforts. Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborate with the Senior Research Manager on the creation, analysis and reporting of all research-generated member surveys.
Lead efforts to write and present research findings for varying audiences in the form of reports, magazine articles, academic journals, blog posts, conference presentations and other avenues in accordance with department, organization, and industry standards.
Provide input and feedback on all research-related deliverables.
Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure internal and external surveys and forms are standardized and reflect NRPA's approved language and intent.
Create and execute measurement plans that assess the progress and long-term impact of NRPA grant programs. This responsibility includes developing evaluation plans and key project metrics for concept papers and grant applications. For some projects, the SREM will develop a full evaluation framework, including identification of methodology, process and outcome measures, data collection methods and sources, and timelines. Qualifications
In lieu of specific educational requirements, professional experience, accomplishments, and industry knowledge will be highly regarded.
Typically requires a minimum of 6-9 years in related field (research/evaluation, statistical analysis, technical writing); 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred; Association or P&R experience preferred.
Full life-cycle program evaluation experience a strong plus.
Strong knowledge and experience of quantitative and qualitative research methods and approaches.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Data & Research Associate will support the organization's efforts to develop, collect, manage, analyze, and report data that demonstrates program outcomes, the organization's goals and informs decision-making. The Research Associate will engage in rapid-response analysis to inform timely state and federal policy development, as well as having the opportunity to engage in longer-term research. Candidates should have a master's degree or Ph.D. in economics, public policy, or a related field; at least three years of relevant work experience in federal and/or state higher education policy; and a successful track record of empirical analysis with demonstrated data skills. Familiarity with higher education and workforce data and research (including Stata and/or R), quantitative methods for policy analysis, and strong communication and writing skills are required. An understanding of key legislative and regulatory policy levers and applying academic research to policy problems are a plus.
There is no teaching associated with this position. This is a term faculty, non-tenure track position with the rank of Research Assistant Professor and the title of Research Associate. The initial appointment is for 12 months, and can be renewed annually. The salary range for the research associate position is $70,000-$110,000. The salary for this position will be wholly generated through externally funded research activities. We have a strong preference for candidates willing to work in Washington, D.C., though we will consider applications from qualified researchers located outside D.C.

As part of the Chief of Staff team, you will monitor industry trends and economic indicators, track company performance, and deliver insights that help the organization anticipate and respond to changes in the market. Responsibilities
Corporate Reporting
Coordinates and prepares the bi-annual board report, including data collection, writing, editing, and formatting deliverables in Adobe InDesign and PowerPoint
Conducts ad hoc business research and analysis to support decision-making, special projects, and strategy development at the request of our principal leadership team (PLT)
Supports the development of processes and workflows that improve the efficiency and consistency of research and reporting
Assists with the upkeep of operations market insights, collaborating with the Operations Senior Associate Chief of Staff to provide accurate, timely information and highlight potential risks
Market Research & Analysis
Monitors industry and economic trends by proactively tracking data sources, reviewing publications, and analyzing market activity
Prepares bi-annual market reports that synthesize research and analysis of global and U.S. markets, economic trends, material pricing, and industry conditions
Assists with the preparation of presentations and other content that translate research findings into clear, actionable insights for internal and external audiences
Maintains a library of research resources and data to ensure information is organized, current, and easily accessible for reporting needs
Qualifications
A four-year degree from an accredited university is preferred
A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience in research, data analysis, project management, or related fields
Foundational knowledge of commercial construction and real estate markets, including awareness of factors such as material pricing, supply chains, and economic conditions, is preferred
Software proficiency-advanced level of proficiency with:
Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

The postdoctoral scholar will be primarily responsible for conducting qualitative research, including semi-structured interviews with instructors and students, and leading qualitative analysis of interview data. Additional responsibilities may include collaboration on curriculum development and testing, supporting dissemination activities, and contributing to the project's long-term evaluation goals.
