Strong fundamentals in MR imaging physics, electromagnetic theory, and MR hardware sub-systems.

OMH oversees a variety of initiatives and programs that serve adults with serious mental illness and children and youth with serious emotional disturbance.
OPHE provides data collection, evaluation, data management, analyses, visualization and reporting to support these OMH functions. OPHE also maintains the Psychiatric Services and Clinical Knowledge Enhancement System (PSYCKES) application (an award-winning web-based application designed to support quality improvement and clinical decision making) and is currently in use by provider agencies in New York State as well as state agencies, county governments, health homes and managed care organizations. The PSYCKES application portfolio also include iOS and Android mobile applications as well as the My Collaborative Health Outcomes Information System (MyCHOIS) application, which provides recipients with their own personal treatment history and recovery-oriented resources.
The incumbent of this position will support the OPHE Medical Informatics team. The goals of the Medical Informatics team are to coordinate development and testing of new data and features for the PSYCKES and MyCHOIS applications, provide high quality training and technical support to users, and promote effective implementation strategies for data exchange and interoperability solutions across New York State healthcare settings. incumbent should be highly organized individual with a strong attention to detail, relate well to a diverse group of project stakeholders, and have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.

and how the brain and reproductive events differ between males and females. Our goal is to identify
novel causes and/or therapeutic targets for infertility and reproductive disorders in both sexes.
2) We hypothesize that adolescence/puberty is a critical time during brain development when biological and

hormones and other genetic factors are critical for normal development of the brain, reproductive

Research Technician Job duties: Under minimal supervision, the laboratory technician will perform research experiments involving molecular and physiological analyses of neuroendocrinology and behavior in rodent models. The technician will also assist lab members with experiments and help to manage the rodent colony, including compliance with ACUP and IACUC policies. Required animal duties include, but are not limited to: health checks, breeding rodents, handling rodents, collecting blood samples, injections, surgical procedures, euthanizing rodents, tissue sample collection, and executing rodent studies under the direction of the supervisor with minimal technical supervision. Additional required duties include but are not limited to: Performing molecular biology techniques including RNA/DNA extractions, DNA analysis (genotyping), RT-PCR, qPCR, cloning, running gels, and transcription reactions. Making lab solutions and reagents. Performing histology techniques such as brain and tissue collection, brain tissue cutting onto slides (using a cryostat), and preparation of brain tissue samples for microscopy analysis. The position also involves directly training student researchers, performing general lab maintenance, managing lab inventory and ordering supplies, acting as a liaison between the lab and different departments, managing laboratory protocols and compliance documents, and helping to manage biohazard waste and radioactivity compliance. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role of Scientist of Discovery Science will report to the Senior Scientist/Senior Lab Manager in close collaboration with the Chief Scientific Officer and the rest of the Discovery Team, and work towards the successful execution of preclinical development programs. As a scientist, you will play a central role in turning foundational CIN biology into new medicines. You will design, execute, and interpret rigorous experiments that validate targets, elucidate mechanism of action, and accelerate progression from hit/lead to in vivo proof‑of‑concept.
This is a bench‑forward position for a creative, self‑directed experimentalist who thrives in a fast‑moving biotech setting and loves collaborating across chemistry, biochemistry, DMPK, in vivo pharmacology, and computational biology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in key discovery workstreams from target validation through early pharmacology; design clear, decision‑driving experimental plans and timelines.
• Interrogate mechanism using genetic perturbation (e.g. CRISPR/Cas9, RNAi), rescue, pathway mapping, and combination studies aligned with CIN biology.
• Develop and optimize cellular assays to quantify phenotype and mechanism.
• Build translationally relevant target‑engagement and PD assays to enable SAR and inform dose/PK-PD modeling for in vivo studies.
• Track record of successfully managing external projects with CRO's from scoping to final data delivery
• Work effectively with colleagues across the team to participate in adjacent discovery-related efforts
• Provide clear updates to Discovery, Preclinical, and Leadership; write technical reports, support patent filings, and prepare data packages for milestones.
REQUIREMENTS:
• PhD in Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, Pharmacology or related field (or MS/BS with commensurate depth of industry experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on lab experience with a range of relevant research techniques including cell-based assays and molecular biology. In vivo mouse experience is strongly preferred
• Understanding of the drug development process from target identification to marketing authorization is strongly encouraged
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate well with team members
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Direct experience in CIN‑relevant biology (mitosis, microtubules/kinetochore function, replication stress, DNA‑damage response) or image‑based phenotyping
• In vivo oncology familiarity (xenograft/PDX syngeneic models), PK/PD thinking, and translational biomarker awareness for discovery‑to‑development continuity.
Salary Range:
Approximately $130,000 - $150,000 which may vary depending on qualifications, experience, and ultimate leveling. Leveling outside of that stated may be considered for exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities
Organize the specimens and workflow for the molecular testing (HR-HPV and CT/NG).
Performs cytological screening of both GYN and non-GYN prepared slides obtained from various specimen types to recognize normal, variations of normal and abnormal cellular components.
Proficiently applies the Bethesda Classification System to report results of PAP specimens.
Meets departmental productivity standards without exceeding those established by NYSDOH. Consults supervisor and/or pathologist as required.
Conducts and documents quality control necessary to ensure proper preparation and staining of materials. Makes associated adjustments in staining procedures as needed to produce superior quality slides.
Participates in quality assurance and proficiency testing activities as described by NYSDOH and Federal guidelines.
Follows all SOPS for processing, filing, and indexing cytologic materials and slides so that the continuity of identification and quality slides are prepared for study and evaluation.
Education/Experience:
Baccalaureate degree in biological sciences or medical technology or meets the qualifications for cytotechnologists as outlined n Subpart 58-1.5 (C) of the state health code.
Graduate of a school of cytotechnology approved by the American Medical Association (AMA).
6 years of work experience as a cytotechnologists
Registration by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
Attends a minimum of 24 CME hours/year.
Previous supervisor experience preferred

Skills/Abilities:
Ability to operate various technical instrumentation.
Ability to recognize and solve problems regarding technical procedures, instrumentation, and test results.

Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret results, medically related articles of literature, and instructions from SOP and vendor manuals.
Ability to count and add/subtract 2-3 digit numbers for daily and monthly workload statistics.
