Our Research and Innovation team seeks an innovative Food Scientist to propel the f'real brand to new heights.
f'real, a leading brand of frozen beverages, is revolutionizing the industry with its blend-it-yourself (BIY) machines and a diverse range of milkshakes, smoothies, plant-based options, and energy shakes.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
New Product Development/Product Improvements/Cost reductions (40%)
⦁ Prepares prototype products using research lab, pilot lab, manufacturing facilities and equipment, as required.
⦁ Administers and coordinates routine assignments, small projects or segments of larger projects, assisting in defining project objectives, organizing and prioritizing tasks and conducting necessary experiments and analysis.
⦁ Interfaces frequently with various internal departments (e.g. Marketing, Procurement, Engineering, QA and Operations) and customers in accomplishing project milestones.
⦁ Selects and evaluates raw materials for experiments
⦁ Sets-up, operates and maintains pilot lab and research lab equipment.
⦁ Designs and conducts basic shelf life and storage studies, including product and package performance evaluations under various conditions.

The mission of PCAR is to translate atmospheric research into improved hazardous weather predictions and information systems that result in societal benefits. To achieve this mission the center will conduct research and education in Atmospheric Sciences, Distributed Geophysical Sensing, and Hazard Mitigation. Visiting Research Professors, with support of Slavery North leadership, will conduct independent research and create original works in one or more of the five mandate areas of Slavery North which include 1) Canadian Slavery, (2) slavery in the US North, (3) the comparative study of slavery in Canada, the US North, and other northern or temperate regions, (4) the study of the inter-connectedness of slavery in Canada and the US North with Caribbean Slavery, and (5) Black-Indigenous relations in Canadian Slavery or US North Slavery. Job Description
Design peripheral circuitry, fabricate hybrid integrated circuits, and develop the electrical testing capability (apparatus and protocols).
Test the circuits, collect data, analyze data, and prepare manuscripts for experimental works.
Supervise research activities within the lab, including meetings with graduate and undergraduate students to assist them in designing their experiments, analyzing their data, and presenting their results.
When and if opportunities come up to respond to funding opportunity announcements, requests for proposals, or other possibilities for funding, help the PI prepare for research proposals responding to those requests.
