The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of ResearchScientist III in the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), Division of Planning, Research, Information Management, and Evaluation (PRIME) in response to the continuing overdose crisis. OASAS is calling for new approaches that embrace person-centered care, evidence-based practices, equitable treatment, and harm reduction principles. OASAS envisions a revised treatment system that better retains clients in treatment, mitigates adverse healthcare events, and reduces deaths. To this end, OASAS is embarking on a new collaboration with New York University (NYU) on a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant to support the transformation of the data architecture and reporting across the OASAS system of care.
This ResearchScientist III will be responsible for working closely with PRIME leadership in employing data science approaches, techniques, and methods to develop substance use and use disorder measures that reflect agency wide needs in reporting and evaluation.
A successful candidate thrives in a highly collaborative, diverse cross-team work environment; has experience in data systems management and process improvement; demonstrates adaptability with the capacity to handle multiple demands and changes in a dynamic fast-paced environment; and has strong organizational, writing, and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead a research team within the OASAS Division of Planning, Research, Information Management, and Evaluation (PRIME) and collaborate with the New York University (NYU) research team.
Collaborate with PRIME leadership, responsible for institutional clinical research priorities, goals and key performance indicators.
Utilize advanced research methods, identify gaps between recommended performance measures and existing data collection methods.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to bridge these gaps and ensure robust data collection for research and evaluation purposes.
Oversee independently the preparation documents related to research activities, including study protocols, progress reports, and briefs to OASAS staff on data system development milestones.
Interface with cross-agency staff to define objectives and identify best practices.
Facilitate relationships with providers, community representatives, and other stakeholders contributing to data collection and database management.
Perform other related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant social science and four years research, evaluation, or data management experience; OR
A Master's degree or J.D. from an accredited college or university in a relevant social science and a minimum of three years of research, evaluation, or data management experience; OR
A Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in a relevant social science and a minimum of two years of research, evaluation, or data management experience.
Two years of experience in organizing, managing, and analyzing quantitative data using descriptive statistics evidenced
One year of experience of supervising
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate experience conducting program evaluations from start to finish is required, including samples of final products/reports.
Expertise in the use of SAS, R or SQL.
Experience working in culturally diverse communities is an asset.
Experience in substance use epidemiology and substance use disorder treatment modalities is an asset.
Expertise in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Able to calculate, interpret and communicate statistics from data systems and provide findings in a variety of formats to both technical and general audiences.

For this role, we are looking for a motivated Research Associate to strengthen our Bioengineering team. The role of Scientist of Discovery Science will report to the Senior Scientist/Senior Lab Manager in close collaboration with the Chief Scientific Officer and the rest of the Discovery Team, and work towards the successful execution of preclinical development programs. As a scientist, you will play a central role in turning foundational CIN biology into new medicines. You will design, execute, and interpret rigorous experiments that validate targets, elucidate mechanism of action, and accelerate progression from hit/lead to in vivo proof‑of‑concept.

**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Work within teams of researchers on new and continuing projects
+ Develop software solutions for the application of Artificial Intelligence to aerospace programs, ultimately impacting the product and service offerings of GE Aerospace as well as its internal tools and practices
+ Implement and analyze prototypes and solutions for real-world problems
+ Employ software libraries, tools, and practices to implement efficient, scalable, and reusable solutions
+ Collaborate with GE Aerospace's other AI / CV experts to define and pursue strategic advancement of new technologies
+ Publish novel findings in scientific workshops, conferences, and journals
+ Create intellectual property by writing invention disclosures and filing patents
+ Develop in technical and leadership skills in preparation for future work as a Lead Scientist
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ MS + 2 years experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and/or Computer Vision
+ Demonstrated ability to write Python code for quick demonstration of ideas as well as robust, efficient, scaled-up software systems
+ Candidate must be willing to travel a minimum of 2 weeks per year

The base pay range for this position is 80,000 - 150,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. Responsibilities

* Develop innovative adoptive cell therapies to treat cancer or other serious diseases.

* Hands on experience and troubleshooting proficiency in immunology assays including immune cell isolation, multicolor flow cytometry, immune cell and cytokine profiling assays using conventional and next-generation analytical methods.
* Demonstrated experience designing and executing mouse tumor model experiments including mouse handling (injections- IV, SC, IP- and organ dissection).
* Excellent abilities to analyze and synthesize data for different audiences and report types while supporting decision-making processes.
* Proficiency in molecular biology as well as analyzing and manipulating DNA/protein sequences using bioinformatics software is desired.
* Basic knowledge of gene editing and next-generation sequencing technologies is a plus.
* Experience in working in matrixed environments and in project management is desired.
