Senior Manager, MED RWE/Epi Scientist
The Senior Manager, RWE/Epi Scientist, position within Medical Evidence Development (MED) Real-World Evidence & Epidemiology (RWE/Epi) provides an opportunity for a collaborative epidemiologist to support real-world evidence and epidemiologic studies as part of Medical strategy across the entire drug development process. The candidate will be responsible for synthesizing the literature and contributing to the design, conduct and reporting of global epidemiologic research studies on Pfizer I&I products. The Senior Manager will also be accountable for the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all RWE/Epi deliverables in assigned product/disease area, and maintain an internal network of Pfizer stakeholders to cultivate innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and identify new opportunities for RWE/Epi to increase the value of Pfizer assets. The candidate will develop external partnerships to leverage data resources and collaboration on high priority global studies. Responsibilities include authoring and reviewing study protocols, reports, and presentations, as well as communication in writing and presentations to internal stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and medical professionals. The candidate will also be responsible for non-study deliverables such as RWE insights, epidemiology literature reviews, regulatory responses, and department initiatives.
This position will report directly to the Hem-Onc Team Lead in RWE/Epi.
Capabilities
Skill and experience identifying, designing and supporting or leading real-world evidence studies of disease epidemiology and effectiveness as part of the global cross-functional Integrated Evidence Plan.
Maintain knowledge and awareness of internal and external data resources and identify appropriate studies for addressing questions of interest, recognizing the limitations and strengths of various design options and data sources
Partner with Chief Medical Office colleagues to address asset team evidence needs and support global regulatory submissions to the FDA, EMA and other agencies.
Deliver rapid insights from real-world, observational data source
Develop and deliver presentations, webinars, manuscripts, scientific data packages or other communication modalities
Assure the highest standards of quality, compliance and management of all research activities
Participate in RWE/Epi peer review of study protocols and study reports
Document all requests and track progress toward project completion, other metrics and business goals
Qualifications
PhD in Epidemiology, Statistics/Biostatistics, Health Outcomes Research, Quantitative Methods, Public Health, Health Economics, or Other Biological Science fields with a substantial quantitative component and at least 1 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, academic and/or medical environment; or, MPH or another relevant Master's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, academic and/or medical environment, at least 1 of which were in the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated strong quantitative skills and methods expertise to generate rapid insights from real-world / observational data source
Demonstrated strong technical writing skills and oral presentation skills with a track-record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at medical/scientific conferences
Demonstrated ability to convert complex analysis into meaningful insights with data visualization and presentation tools and able to manipulate and analyze complex structured and unstructured data from multiple real world evidence sources.
Ability to work under pressure with a high level of autonomy/leadership on research projects and collaborate with multiple partners in a matrixed environment
Knowledgeable of the external regulatory environment for real-world evidence and maintains awareness of scientific developments in epidemiology, medicine, and technology (e.g., artificial intelligence).

We seek an exceptional scientist whose research focuses on unraveling the structural, electronic, and chemical and physical properties of electronic materials across gas-phase, liquid-phase, and operando environments. Department Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS) Responsibilities The Marine Data Center (MDC; ************************** specializes in managing surface marine meteorological and physical oceanographic observations measured in-situ by research ships and remotely by space-based satellites. Located in the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS; *************************** at the Florida State University (FSU), the MDC provides operational data management services for over 30 research vessels recruited to the Shipboard Automated Meteorological and Oceanographic System initiative. The center also curates user-friendly satellite data, particularly for ocean vector winds, and global air-sea flux products.
The MDC director coordinates all activities of the center both within COAPS and FSU, across the center's funding agencies and partners, and within the U.S. and international marine climate and geoinformatics communities. The MDC director is responsible for all contracts and grants that support the center, managing all MDC employees, and mentoring MDC students. The director is expected to maintain the MDC's excellence in the stewardship, quality evaluation, and scientific application of met/ocean observations from research vessels, commercial ships, and satellites, and to provide future directions for MDC activities. The MDC director obtains grants to fund the center, and oversees daily operations of the center, with a focus on collection, quality evaluation, and distribution of high-quality in-situ and remotely sensed marine observations. Qualifications
Academic master's degree or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Associate In Research.
Required Qualifications:

Supports FWC's coral restoration efforts through coordinating and managing reports from coral practitioners in the new coral nursery, outplanting and transportation protocols, including responding to coral practitioners as needed.
Coordinates for FWC between Monroe County, DEP, and FKNMS on Habitat Support Plan for Monroe County, including providing assistance with permitting, project development, and deployment of habitat support structures.
Works with FWC staff to issue Special Activity Licenses for corals and works with FKNMS on permitting issues relative to corals.
Meets with coral practitioners as needed to discuss agency coral policies.
Participates in the rulemaking process to help the Commission build a record in support of their decisions. Drafts supporting documents in coordination with legal staff.
Serves as a liaison as needed with local, state, and federal agencies on coral and marine fisheries issues.
Assists senior staff in coordinating research projects that are relevant to coral and fisheries management decisions.
Works with senior staff in the development of technical papers and presentations on management of various Florida marine fisheries to guide and support the Commission's rulemaking process.
Works with senior staff to coordinate with other state and federal agencies, commercial and recreational fishers, and other stakeholders to identify coral and marine fisheries management issues, develop management recommendations, and support the Commission's management process.
Assists in conducting public workshops and other information gathering meetings on issues related to Florida's coral management and marine fisheries issues

Job Description
Perform various type of testing using chromatographic systems, HPLC, GC, IC
Execute specialized analyses and method transfer and feasibility testing
Document work as required for GMP compliance
Perform tests accurately
Troubleshoot method and instrumentation problems
Use office and instrumentation specific computer software
Produce written reports (e.g., SOP, OMC, client reports)
Develop and execute validation plans
Carry out method transfers and feasibility studies
Train technical staff
Qualifications
-Minimum Required: Bachelors, Science discipline
-Chromatography Experience: BS: 4+ years; MS: 2 years
-Familiarity with United States Pharmacopeia testing requirements and techniques preferred
-Experience with HPLC and GC analysis, with ability to maintain and troubleshoot instruments
-Ability to author reports/investigations and execute protocols with limited support
-Capable of generating scientifically valid data in accordance with GMP practices
-Ability to work autonomously on projects after training is completed is essential

Under general supervision this position will support the grant Principal Investigator (PI) and senior researchers on the statewide evaluation of the California Department of Public Health's Office of Health Equity's California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP) Phase 2 extension. The candidate will participate in implementation of the research design/methods and analysis, present findings, and perform other research activities (e.g., technical assistance with communities) as appropriate. This position will also coordinate, manage, and provide oversight on multiple project deliverables, their major steps and activities, as well as participate in the planning, design and execution of the data and research study to ensure quality and compliance with all expected products and outcomes. This position will also support other project staff and supervise/mentor junior staff in evaluation design and methodological issues as well as publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Consult on the research design elements including develop and implement process and outcome evaluation and technical assistance supports, as well as conduct basic and advanced quantitative and/or qualitative analysis. (10%)
Provide centralized project report, communication and coordination of project to assure accurate and timely completion of all contracted deliverables, major steps, and activities; this includes develop monitoring plan and action plans and supervising junior staff. (25%)
Provide the state and CRDP grantees with technical and methodological guidance on process and outcome data collection, as well as conduct linguistically and culturally responsive research with diverse communities. (10%)
Participate in completion of project related activities and products such as, technical assistance to external stakeholders, development of monthly/annually/final reports and presentations to CRDP stakeholders and other technical and non-technical audiences. (25%)
Participate in completion of project related activities and products such as develop evaluation metrics, tools and instruments to meet the project deliverables, and prepare articles for publication in peer reviewed journals. (20%)
Represent LMU within BCLA's Psychological Science Department community and at professional organizations or associations, serve on committees as required.

Requisite Qualifications
Typically a Master's degree in the disciplines of psychology, sociology, political science, or other social science related field or equivalent experience. A Ph.D. Degree in social science preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 3 years of experience in community based participatory research (CBPR), community based research, quasi-experimental designs and mixed methods, and multi-year project management.
Experience in community-based research on projects focused on prevention/early intervention, systems and policy change, and mental health and wellbeing for communities of color is preferred.
Ability to design research studies, develop and implement data collection instruments, gather and analyze data, and interpret research finding for policymakers, program leaders, and practitioners.
Excellent writing skills and data visualization abilities using PowerPoint or CANVA the ability to present research plans and findings are essential, as is the ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, work well within deadlines, and the ability to understand and support client needs.
Ability to make a compelling case for ideas and/or approaches in writing and verbally.
Demonstrated computer competency, including advanced skills/competencies in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, R, Stata, SPSS, NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Dedoose, etc.)
