This position will serve as a scientist in the conduct of assigned nonclinical and clinical bioanalytical studies at all levels of complexity, to include study management, interpretation and reporting of study data, and assuring the regulatory compliance of these projects, as appropriate. Additional responsibilities include serving as a primary scientific contact for key clients and the on-site support of their programs, as well as the support of specialty studies. The ideal candidate will have experience with design and optimization of ligand binding assays including ELISA, MSD, or Gyrolab platforms.
• Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in a scientific related discipline. Related Master's degree (M.S./M.A.) or PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience in the contract research, academic, or pharmaceutical industry.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements of study types assigned, as well as Testing Facility SOPs and the Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), as appropriate.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc. and with standard laboratory calculations.

The starting salary range posted for this position is $174,500.00 to $226,500.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Researcher - Plant Bioinformatics and Systems Genomics Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Dr. Won C. Yim's laboratory in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. The successful candidate will contribute to a multi-institutional, federally funded project focused on improving the productivity of Opuntia (cactus pear) as a sustainable bioenergy feedstock through integrated genomic, metagenomic, and systems-level modeling of plant-microbe-soil interactions. This position provides a unique opportunity to work at the interface of plant genomics, metagenome analysis, and computational systems biology, in collaboration with researchers at national laboratories (PNNL, NREL) and USDA research centers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead bioinformatics analysis for large-scale genomic and metagenomic datasets derived from Opuntia and other desert-adapted plants.
* Develop, optimize, and deploy genome assembly, annotation, and functional profiling pipelines using long-read and Hi-C sequencing data.
* Integrate genomic and metagenomic results to identify key determinants of productivity and stress resilience in Opuntia.
* Collaborate with molecular biologists, computational scientists, and agronomists to translate omics insights into physiological and ecological interpretations.
* Prepare data visualizations, manuscripts, and conference presentations for dissemination of project results.
Required Qualifications
* PhD in plant biology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field.
* Completion of a doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline is required.
* The doctoral degree must have been completed within the five years immediately preceding the first date of appointment as a postdoctoral fellow at the University.
* The individual cannot have held previous positions in the professional ranks.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with NGS data analysis and Linux based HPC environments.
* Programming skills in Python or R and experience with Git.
* Evidence of research productivity through peer reviewed publications.
Schedule and Travel
Schedule is Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with some flexibility in start and end times. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines or support time sensitive analyses.

In cooperation with the National Park Service, the Great Basin Institute (GBI) is recruiting one (1) Cultural Researcher to work cooperatively with National Park Service staff at Death Valley National Park.
The Cultural Researcher will work under the guidance and mentorship of Death Valley National Park (DEVA) Cultural Resources staff and members of the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe, with mentorship opportunities with the DEVA Interpretation and Education staff. Through this immersive experience, the Cultural Researcher will lead DEVA efforts to expand the interpretation of the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe by conducting ethnographic and archival research to compile articles about Timbisha history and culture. The Cultural Researcher will consult with the Timbisha Tribal Historic Preservation Officer (THPO) and members of the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe to collect and organize historical information about the Tribe. The researcher may also examine public and park records, oral histories, and approved Tribal records to support the ethnographic information shared by the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe. Additionally, the Cultural Researcher will work with DEVA staff and the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe to develop creative methods for sharing Timbisha history and culture within Death Valley National Park. This may include interpretive panels or exhibits, interpretive programming, and/or cultural trainings for staff.
LOCATION:
Death Valley National Park is located in Nevada and California and boasts some of the hottest and driest climates, and lowest elevation in North America. The park includes a superlative desert of streaming sand dunes, snow-capped mountains, multicolored rock layers, water-fluted canyons and three million acres of wilderness. Death Valley is home to the Timbisha Shoshone people and to plants and animals unique to the harshest desert environment. The closest cities are Pahrump and Beatty, Nevada (both approximately 1 hour away). Las Vegas is a little over 2 hours away.
Field conditions include hot, arid days with high exposure to the sun, as well as cold, winter weather. Resources of the region include threatened and/or endangered species habitat, big game habitats, abandoned mine lands, and historic and prehistoric cultural sites.
CONTRACT TIMELINE:
This project is expected to last for approximately 42 weeks beginning in late August, pending the completion of a Department of Interior (DOI) Background Investigation (BI).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Wage: $22/hour with overtime at 1.5x hourly rate. Full time, average 40 hours per week;
Housing Stipend: $110 biweekly - dormitory accommodations available in Death Valley for the duration of the project;
Health, Dental, Vision Insurance premiums are covered 100% by GBI. Available on the first day of the month following the start of employment;
Paid federal holidays;
Personal Leave Time (PLT) accrued at a rate of 0.05 hrs per hour worked (~4 hrs biweekly);
$25,000 Basic Life & AD&D insurance.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Experience conducting ethnographic work in Native American communities;
Experience working with tribal members and/or tribal historic preservation issues;
Experience assessing historical evidence using primary and secondary sources, including oral tradition and oral histories;
Experience applying Indigenous Knowledge to natural and cultural resource management;
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with a diverse audience; and
Self-motivated and self-directed individual who is capable of working independently or part of team toward mutual goals and objectives.
PREFERRED:
Knowledge of Timbisha Shoshone history and culture;
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Native American Studies, Anthropology, or associated field (history, archeology, ethnography, etc.).
A member of the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe or an American Indian or Alaska Native.

As a non-profit specialty medical center, GGAF Ackerman Center's mission is to provide comprehensive clinical services, resources, education, research, and advocacy for the development of meaningful solutions. Our goal is to provide better outcomes individuals, families, and our community as it relates to living with a neurodevelopmental condition.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be primarily responsible for conducting evaluations for patients aged 2 to 20 years old referred through the Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP). This opportunity provides fellows with a deep understanding of the neurodiversity within autism spectrum disorders, including broad exposure to assessing, identifying, and providing differential diagnosis for a wide range of co-occurring conditions, such as other neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., intellectual disabilities, language disorders, learning disabilities, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, genetic syndromes, prenatal alcohol or drug exposure), medical/neurological conditions (e.g., epilepsy, cerebral palsy, gastrointestinal difficulties), and/or mental health concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, bipolar, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, etc.). The assessment process includes, but is not limited to clinical interview, neuropsychological testing administration and scoring (cognitive, language, academic, behavioral, adaptive, executive functioning), autism spectrum disorder assessments, observations, parent feedback session, and integrated report writing.
