Our research focuses on unraveling the genetic mechanisms underlying lupus, a complex autoimmune disease. This position requires expertise in analyzing large-scale genetic and genomic data. The successful candidate will have access to excellent resources to address critical questions in the genetics and genomics of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Building on our lab s success in identifying genes and genetic variants associated with lupus susceptibility through genome-wide association studies (GWAS), we are now investigating the functional effects of these variants. This includes utilizing patient-derived primary immune cells and tissues as well as cell line models.
