The Market Research and Evaluation (MRE) Scientist is an integral part of multiple cross-functional program teams dedicated to bringing energy efficient products and services to market through the approach of market transformation. The primary role of the MRE Scientist is to manage market research and evaluation projects to support organizational and program decision-making and assess market progress of programs. MRE Scientists are expected to engage proactively in ongoing continual improvement and teamwork necessary for successful functional leadership.
This position is based in the Portland, OR metro area, with a hybrid work location.
We are looking for candidates who can meet the requirement of working at least 2 days per week onsite at NEEA's office location.
Finalists must have eligibility to work in the US as NEEA is not able to provide VISA sponsorship or have remote work outside of the US.
Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000, exempt
Salary is based on the applicants Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
The Typical Day May Include…
Working with cross-functional team members to contribute to the success of market transformation programs by assessing whether strong program logic exists and is measurable
Delivering research and evaluation insights to inform program strategy
Developing long-term research and evaluation plan(s)
Developing metrics to measure program influence in the short-, medium-, and long-term
Defining the research/evaluation objectives, scope of work, assumptions/constraints, sample population, and deliverables for individual projects
Sourcing third-party contractors to support research and evaluation needs - including ownership of the competitive bidding process: drafting contracts, reviewing proposals, finalist selection, etc.
Managing and ensuring contractor performance
Leading project kick-offs and subsequent check-in meetings and findings synthesis with cross-functional teams
Leading the socialization of results and insights with internal and external audiences
Support the Market Analysis & Planning function, as needed, by commissioning studies to validate their energy savings model assumptions
Aid in the development of logic model and data management plans, ensuring programs can be effectively evaluated and that data is available for evaluation purposes
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is primarily an individual contributor and has no supervisory responsibilities but provides guidance and leadership on specialized areas to internal clients and to less experienced members of the work group.

Your Experience, Education, and Skills:
Master's degree required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in evaluation and/or market research project management.
Ability to leverage facilitation skills used to guide and direct key parts of MRE's work within program teams and the MRE team
Experience with a wide variety of research methods to
assess the validity of proposals from third-party contractors
suggest and/or build on research designs proposed by contractors
review and assess the validity of analyses and conclusions derived from those analyses
understand and articulate to business partners the impact of research methods on the interpretation of results
Skilled at discerning which information, from a variety of sources, is valid and relevant when drawing conclusions
Comfortable and effective in articulating the meaning of information and/or conclusions in a way that makes sense to the audience
Able to prioritize/plan work activities while remaining flexible and supporting the overall team's priorities
Strong ability to assess and communicate contractual risks related to research validity, contractor capability, and deliverable quality, while providing recommendations for mitigation or avoidance when necessary.
Demonstrable skill to identify and resolve complex problems; gathering and analyzing relevant information and providing option analyses on potential solutions resulting in a recommended approach

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
+ .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
+ 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
+ 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
+ Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Role overview Most research associate positions involve executing protocols someone else designed, in systems someone else built, following SOPs someone else wrote. This role is not that.
You'll work directly alongside our CSO/co-founder and Science Team Leads helping build something from scratch. You'll have input on procurement decisions, equipment choices, lab layout, and operational systems. When we design our new facility, you'll be part of those conversations.
You'll see how a biotech startup actually works - the business development, the strategic decisions about what experiments to prioritize and why. This exposure is nearly impossible to get in academic labs or established companies.

Skill Requirements/Education/Experience Required:
* PhD/MSc degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, proteomics, biochemistry, or a related field.
* Demonstrable hands-on experience developing purification and analytical methods for biomolecules e.g. Antibodies, recombinant proteins, AAVs, plasmids and downstream analytical techniques including, but not limited to SDS-PAGE, Western Blots, ELISA, HPLC, and nanodrop.
* Experience with laboratory automation and liquid handling robotics e.g. Hamilton, Tecan, Opentrons, etc is preferred.
* Previous working experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or commercial drug discovery or screening laboratories is preferred but not required.
* Knowledge and experience managing technical projects is preferred.

Function/Duties of Position
The anxiety postdoctoral position emphasizes behavioral health and includes evaluation, treatment, and optional research activities within the Anxiety Treatment and Diagnostic Intake clinics. The post-doctoral fellow will provide diagnostic intake assessments, and outpatient intervention services to medically, developmentally, or psychologically complex or treatment refractory patients with anxiety and related disorders. Inpatient consultation service experiences are available and encouraged. Patients are primarily referred from OHSU subspecialty or general pediatric clinics and providers, or seen in response to inpatient consultation. Services will be provided primarily at Doernbecher Children's Hospital or Cornell West located clinics, depending on space availability and service needs. Diagnostic intake services will include conducting informed consent, clinical interview, brief screening (questionnaire administration and scoring), and providing feedback and recommendations to patients/families and referring providers. Advanced treatment experiences and training will include traditional in-person and telemedicine-based psychology services delivery. Referral concerns include the anxiety disorders, selective mutism, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, misophonia and restricted eating (ARFID, Anorexia Nervosa) associated with emetophobia, OCD, choking phobia, and others. Interventions will be evidenced-based and primarily include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with exposure and response prevention (ERP). Other interventions may include motivational interviewing (MI), habit reversal treatment (HRT), parent training in behavior management, and coping skills development training. Training will include the supervision of graduate students and emphasizes collaboration and consultation with other providers and teams.
The postdoctoral fellow will have access to a multitude of career development opportunities through the Division of Pediatric Psychology, Institute on Development & Disability, and OHSU, including a full range of didactic offerings, including weekly group supervision and peer support. Opportunities to offer community-based trainings to parents, patients, and service providers may also be available.
Required Qualifications
PhD/PsyD in Psychology from an APA-Accredited Doctoral Program.
Completion of APA-accredited doctoral internship.
Residency contract approved by the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners.
Understanding of development across the lifespan and psychosocial contributors to behavioral health. Experience in behavioral intervention, family-based interventions, exposure and response prevention, and having effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical Psychology.
Hospital based care experience is preferred.
Experience with psychosocial assessment and behavioral treatment of children and adolescents with gastroenterological problems and conditions is preferred.
