Program training and success of graduates

Postdoctoral Fellow II, Cancer Epigenetics - Aliso Viejo, CA (Onsite/Hybrid)
We are seeking a forward-thinking and collaborative Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in advancing translational research and epigenetics biomarker research. This individual will explore the feasibility of applying innovative technologies and scientific principles to the development of new products aimed at improving cancer detection and patient outcomes.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will play a key role in investigating circulating tumor DNA (ct DNA) and contributing to research initiatives focused on early detection and monitoring of cancer. In this role, you will support Ambry's translational research efforts through internal projects and external collaborations, working independently and as part of a cross-functional team that includes R&D scientists, bioinformaticians, and enterprise stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of genomics technologies and hands on experience with next generation sequencing of DNA/RNA/epigenetics libraries and a demonstrated data analysis skill set.
This is a one-year program that can be renewed for up to three years. Each year it needs confirmation from sponsor and the APP that trainees are making significant progress towards goals.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrate ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in design of studies and experiments.
Analyze and interpret experimental data, with a focus on NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) epigenetic libraries
Supports clinical evidence generation and biomarker discovery efforts.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive translational research initiatives.
Coordinates experiment execution and analysis with collaborators
Contributes to scientific publications, presentations, and technical reports.

Qualifications:
Outline the required education, skills, experience, and abilities necessary for success in this role.
Recent recipient of Ph.D. (
Strong understanding of data analysis methods, including statistical approaches relevant to genomics.
Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and proven ability to conduct independent research at a very high level.
Outstanding organizational, experimental design, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively.
Preferred:
Expertise in oncology or epigenetics is preferred
Strong experience in NGS workflows from sample extraction, sequencing, analysis to interpretation
