The primary responsibility of the Cath Lab Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL) through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization team.
Provides direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
Assists in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Sustains a high level of patient care by communication with the patients, families, and physicians and co-works to address the physical, general and psychosocial needs of the patient.
Functions under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
Assists cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered.
Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines.
Delivers quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.

Department Summary
Modern biology encompasses the study of all aspects of living systems, from the molecular basis of genetic inheritance to the interactions between organisms and the environment. Undergraduate students in the Department of Biological Sciences at UNT have the opportunity to investigate these topics through hands-on research experiences while learning the latest skills and professional ethics from distinguished faculty and professional researchers. In addition, Biology and Biochemistry majors pursuing medical careers can save time and money by combining college and medical school through a joint program between UNT and the UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth. In this program, students spend three years taking biology coursework at UNT and then transfer to the HSC for four years of medical training. This allows students to be ready to serve in a residency at a hospital or clinic in seven years instead of the usual eight.
Position Overview
The technician will lead fieldwork for a comprehensive study of the population viability, movement ecology, and habitat affinities of the threatened White-tailed Hawk in South Texas. Research will focus on movement and dispersal patterns, characterization of gene flow patterns and population genetic diversity, the influence of fire, reproductive success, survival, habitat affinities, and the development of a predictive habitat distribution model. The data collection will involve searching for nests, monitoring nests, documenting productivity, marking birds with coded anodized bands and GSM solar-tracking devices, and monitoring the movements and survival of marked birds.

The Levi Laboratory is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ResearchTechnician II to join our collaborative team for a minimum two-year commitment. Our research focuses on musculoskeletal injury, repair, and regeneration. The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of ongoing projects and gain hands-on experience in both in vivo and in vitro models. Responsibilities will include animal handling, genotyping, surgical assistance in animal models, histological processing, immunohistochemistry, and confocal microscopy.
Prior experience in a molecular biology laboratory is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities and Laboratory Expectations
Perform animal breeding, genotyping, handling, and surgical procedures.

The Bovine IVF Embryologist is an integral part of our global team to help bring

Perform and maintain quality control records on all materials associated with the IVF lab and process
Insure that all laboratory procedures have properly consented prior to performing them
Communicate directly with physicians regarding daily IVF/ICSI and embryo development outcomes
Perform quality assurance and preventative maintenance
QUA Maintain, clean and disinfect of the IVF Lab and its equipment (especially the incubators)
Inform and work with nurses to coordinate daily procedure scheduling
Work with the Lab supervisor to maintain ART records for SART

The Jones Laboratory of Immunoengineering and Therapeutics focuses on the engineering innovative lab-on-a-chip platforms to model and study immune cell-pathogen interactions with single cell precision. The researcher will initially focus on two funded research projects: NIH -funded project aimed at developing and validating novel platforms to detect and better understand sepsis. This project involve collaboration with UT Southwestern Medical Center and communication with critical care physicians and surgeons. This project involves isolating primary human immune cells from septic patients and measuring changes in function. The goal of the Jones research laboratory is early detection and ultimately to decipher the basic mechanisms that lead to inflammation and to translate these findings into the development of targeted anti-inflammatory therapeutics. Work on collaborative project to create automated microfluidics with integrated sensing circuit arrays. This work is in collaboration with Dr. Leo Bleris and Dr. Yiorgos Makris. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Essential duties will include: 1) Planning and executing experiments according to approved research protocols; 2) Establishing new protocols for electrode-based DNA sensing; 3) Quantitative data analysis including statistical evaluations, image processing, write reports, abstracts, manuscripts and assist with grant writing. 4) Training and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory. A successful record of authorship on peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations is recommended. Researchers with background in the development microfluidic devices, electrodes, biosensors, biomaterials and experience with translational research are particularly encouraged to apply. ROLE OVERVIEW
The Bovine IVF Embryologist is an integral part of our global team to help bring
certainty to genetic progress in livestock. The Embryologist will work alongside team

RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete Vytelle's specialized training program designed to prepare team members for fieldwork at our satellite locations for oocyte collection and in the IVF lab. (This will require travel to our training facility in Texas.)
Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), processing directives, production standards, policies, health and safety directives and regulations.
Maintain flexibility for working hours as IVF processes are time-dependent, includes some weekend work.
Travel to satellite locations with Vytelle veterinarians- may include overnight travel.
Prepare, maintain and plan collection-related tasks and equipment; adhere to standard collection workflow.
Conduct oocyte quality assessment at collection; identify and report any anomalies detected during collections.
