Phase I and IB trials represent the first practical tests of a compound’s clinical relevance and commercial viability. They are the culmination of years or even decades of research. As a Research Technician you will be offered comprehensive training to provide technical support services such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECGs, EKGs to the study conduction teams, helping to assure successful study completion.

Summarized Purpose:
Supports the study conduction process for Phase I clinical studies. Collects study-specific data by performing technical and non-technical procedures.

Essential Functions:
* Performs technical procedures including Automated Vital Signs, Electrocardiogram, blood collections, etc.
* Performs non-technical procedures including urine collections, subject walks and safety monitoring.
* Interacts regularly with study subjects in all in-house and outpatient studies in order to perform study related procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Technical positions may require a certificate
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job or ability to be trained in Phase I technical procedures.
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct experiments for the development of reliable products or testing methods of Neogen products.Adhere to good lab practices (GLP) guidelines and regulatory guidelines in daily activities.Prepares all reagents necessary for experimentation.Assist in maintaining the laboratory including monitoring inventory, maintaining equipment, restocking supplies, etc.Maintain laboratory in a clean and safe environment.Work with team members/senior members to establish the experimental design.Interpret and record daily experimental results and provide a summary of results/reports.Make presentations of experimental results at regular R&D group meetings.Work with special projects/other duties assigned by supervisor.Participate in brainstorming sessions to streamline routine activities/troubleshoot experimentation problems.Meet individual and departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: BS or Associates degree in related area of Science pertinent to the Research team (microbiology, molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology or related field).

We are recruiting for an Engineering Co-op who will be based at our Amesbury, MA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Formulating metallic filled thermoset and thermoplastic elastomers to meet mechanical, electrical, and environmental customer specifications. Assist in developing manufacturing techniques, procedures, and processing conditions to produce a wide range of materials such as thermoplastic and thermoset elastomers, foam, honeycomb, composite materials, etc.Data acquisition and analysis on a variety of instruments including but not limited to DSC, FTIR, Light scattering particle size analysis, tensile testing, etc.Safety analysis and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:
Sophomore or junior level in a B.S. degree program or graduate in a M.S degree program from an accredited college or university in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other applicable technical field.Ability to work effectively as a team member.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Current computer literacy including Microsoft Office Products.Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs preferred.
