The Lab Technician will perform activities necessary to maintain and operate the development work in the laboratory under supervision. The role includes performing technical tasks, stability work, and routine and non-routine ordering of raw materials. Additionally, the technician will manage time for environmental stability and validation samples with their supervisor.
Responsibilities
+ Laboratory batching of prototype and final formulations (liquid, emulsion, and surfactant formulas) for clinical and consumer studies, product stability testing, and customer review using approved procedures upon completion of successful training.
+ Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including balances, pH meters, viscometers, etc.
+ Manage time independently and ensure proper documentation of notebooks, logbooks, and other documentation such as raw material MSDS in accordance with laboratory procedures and corporate safety and quality standards.
+ Participate in the investigation of out-of-specification test results or stability issues and review findings with Laboratory management.
+ Sample management and ordering of raw materials and finished goods.
+ Evaluate and analyze competitive products and report results.
+ Assist in cleaning lab glassware using the dishwasher and maintain laboratory space to ensure a clean working environment following all corporate health and safety protocols.
Essential Skills
+ Understanding of laboratory safety requirements, working with laboratory chemicals, and the MSDS system.
+ General understanding of chemical test methods and chemical instrumentation.
+ Basic wet chemistry techniques.

+ High school diploma or a 2-year associate degree in a technical or science field, preferably in Chemistry or Biology.

+ Experience working with personal care, hair care, skin care, or oral care products is desirable.

Job Description
The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist is responsible for preparing and assisting in cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI (STEMI), peripheral vascular procedures, pacemaker placements, and interventional radiology procedures. The technologist will help monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data while providing procedural assistance to the physician before, during, and after procedures. This role involves assessing and managing the access site and informing the physician as necessary while adhering to on-call protocols for the catheterization lab.

Research resources include extensive health services data on hundreds of millions of individuals covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. We are seeking exceptional researchers at all career states (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate or Full Professor) who are dedicated to developing or maintaining strong programs of funded research, have a commitment to collaborative work, and show the ability to be leaders in health services and policy research. Faculty candidates must have a strong interest in building a health services or policy research portfolio working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary group of social scientists, policy scholars and clinicians. Job Duties: Interns will gain hands-on experience working on various conservation research projects at the North Carolina Aquariums lab at the NCSU Center for Marine Sciences and Technology in Morehead City, NC. Because we have a variety of ongoing projects, students would have some choices of research
projects. Our aim is to offer a wide range of experiences, including field work in coastal habitats, with a diversity of conservation projects.
Major Task to be Performed:
Research will be conducted under the daily supervision of Dr. Carol Price, the conservation research coordinator. One of the largest projects students will work on is Spot A Shark USA (SAS). The student working with SAS will learn how to process sand tiger shark images that are uploaded by citizen scientists
using an image analysis software. The spots on the sides of the sharks are digitally mapped, resulting in a library of uniquely identified individuals. This collective database of sharks is being used to understand how sand tiger sharks use the shipwreck habitats off the North Carolina coast. Other projects include headstarting the Carolina gopher frog (a native species of frog with highly decreased population being considered for listing under the Endangered Species Act) for release back into ponds in the Croatan National Forest, and
monitoring Crystal skipper (an endemic butterfly) populations on the barrier island. Additional opportunities may be developed that align with Aquarium needs and intern interests or skills.

Job Description
About the role:
Garden State Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician for our Microbiology department, working 37.5 hours per week. The Laboratory Technician will report to the Microbiology Supervisor at our Jersey Shore Lab located in Waretown, NJ. Weekend availability is required for this position. The typical schedule runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, the ending time might vary depending on when the scheduled work is completed. Weekend shifts occur about once or twice a month, are variable in time, and usually last less than 2 hours each day.
What you'll do:
The primary responsibility of the Laboratory Technician includes:
Preparing media
Recording temperatures
Receiving samples
Logging sample data into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Analyzing samples utilizing approved EPA and Standard Methods
Reading and recording sample results
Laboratory maintenance (washing glassware, discarding samples, general housekeeping, and other tasks as needed)
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor or manager to meet short-term departmental needs.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in science is preferred, but not required.
• Laboratory experience, preferably in Microbiology techniques, is desired.
• Garden State Laboratories provides training to all new hires.

Essential Skills

+ Some chemistry lab work experience from high school or college is required.
