Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - Cath/EP Lab | About the Role The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures within the Cath/EP Lab. This role assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and vascular disease, including arrhythmias, and specializes in caring for patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP device procedures, and ablations.
The technologist functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists during both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Candidates must hold a Kentucky Rad Tech License through ARRT (pending license accepted at submission).
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
+ Provide scrub support during PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices, and ablations
+ Serve as a technical resource within the Cath/EP Lab
+ Operate and troubleshoot imaging and procedural equipment
+ Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EHR and McKesson systems
+ Support patient care throughout pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases
+ Uphold all federal, state, and facility-specific regulations and standards
Shift Schedule
+ Shifts: 4x10s
+ Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
+ Call Requirements:
+ One late call per week (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM)
+ One call shift per week (5:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
+ One to two call weekends per six-week schedule
+ Weekend call: Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM
Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted.
Minimum Requirements
+ Graduate of a CAAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred
