The primary responsibility of the Cath Lab Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL) through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization team.
Provides direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
Assists in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Sustains a high level of patient care by communication with the patients, families, and physicians and co-works to address the physical, general and psychosocial needs of the patient.
Functions under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
Assists cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered.
Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines.
Delivers quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.

This is a 12-month non-tenure-accruing position that will be 100% research, available in the Mid-FloridaResearch and Education Center (MREC), Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, at the University of Florida. The MREC seeks an agricultural economist to work on areas including but not limited to (1) the economic feasibility of horticultural production, (2) horticultural consumer marketing, and (3) econometric analysis of cross-section data, panel data and discrete choice analysis

Duties will include creating and conducting consumer and producers surveys, and presenting research results at professional and industry meetings. The successful candidate will publish in national and international journals, and thus develop a nationally recognized research program. The unique combination of opportunities to conduct industry-relevant fundamental and applied research and to interact closely with the ornamental plants industry is the strength of UF IFAS MREC. This is a non-tenure accruing position. However, the faculty member may participate actively in graduate education by chairing graduate committees, serving on graduate committees, supervising thesis and dissertation research, and publishing the results with their graduate students. The faculty member will seek contract and grant funding actively to support their salary and program.
Background Information:
The MREC, located in Apopka, Florida, is 15 miles northwest of the Orlando metropolitan area and 30 miles from the Orlando International Airport. MREC is 95 miles from the main UF campus at Gainesville. This close proximity allows easy participation in UF/IFAS administrative meetings and other main campus activities. MREC is central to large concentrations of Florida's diversified ornamental plant and landscape industries producing nursery and indoor and foliage plants. In addition there are nearby fruit and vegetable production operations and many small, diversified farms. Center personnel include 14 faculty and 45 supporting staff, excluding part-time and grant-funded personnel and students. Currently, the interdisciplinary MREC faculty has members specializing in agricultural economics, entomology, landscape ornamentals and indoor foliage plants, landscape ecology, molecular biology, plant breeding, plant pathology, vegetable culture, and viticulture. An earned Ph.D. (foreign equivalent acceptable) in agricultural economics or a related field. Position Overview and Responsibilities:
We are hiring multiple seasonal, part-time positions (~20 hours/week) responsible for conducting a 20-week (January 2026 to May 2026) roving creel on Lakes George and/or Monroe in Volusia County (Incumbent may be responsible for both lakes, dependent on scheduling). Position will run till 5/31/2026. Incumbent will be expected to:
Interview anglers on Lake George and/or Monroe (Volusia County) by asking specific questions about their catch and harvest of freshwater fish species.
Accurately record detailed survey data while operating a boat independently and safely.
Responsible for operating FWC equipment (ex. trucks, trailers, and motorboats) for FWC business only and in a safe and law-abiding manner.
Surveys will be conducted in all-weather types including hot, cold, windy, and/or rainy conditions as long as conditions are not dangerous. Appropriate protective and safety gear will be furnished.
Occasional opportunities to assist biologists with field sampling and laboratory work will also be available.
Position is expected to work weekdays and weekend days. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of common freshwater fishes.

As a Wildlife Exclusion Tech, you help Central Florida residents reclaim their homes! When someone calls us in a panic because of a raccoon, squirrel, or rat infestation, you're the person who comes to their rescue! Clients feel reassured as you knowledgeably answer their questions and take control of the situation. As a trained professional, you know exactly what to do: you set strategically placed traps to capture and remove the critters. Employing recommended safety precautions, you humanely transport squirrels and raccoons to an appropriate location and release them back into the wild.
Once the animals have been removed, you move on to the exclusion process. Observant and thorough, you inspect the property to identify active and potential entry points. You leave nothing to chance, carefully examining the building by going on rooftops and crawl spaces. Next, you properly seal any weak spots to protect the residence from future infestations by sealing up the home with sheet metal, concrete and hardware cloth. When necessary, you place rodent monitoring stations on the property to keep the exterior population under control. You great find satisfaction in helping our clients resolve their wildlife issues, and their gratitude is immensely rewarding!
