Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversight and management of the Biosphere 2 Biogeochemistry Laboratory, including planning and conducting laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments across multiple biomes such as the Landscape Evolution Observatory (LEO), B2 Ocean, Tropical Rainforest, and Desert habitat. Responsibilities include sample collection, processing, and analysis of water and soil samples, as well as supervising undergraduate and graduate students who are working in the lab or tasked with processing samples for Biosphere 2 or related research projects.
* Confers with Biosphere 2 scientists and engineers to define and refine the appropriate procedures related to the collection of scientific data using complex lab equipment, computer networks and technologically advanced features.
* Provides technical and scientific expertise to the management of complex scientific equipment utilizing specific knowledge typically obtained through an advanced scientific degree or relevant work experience.
* Performing calibrations, regular maintenance and minor/moderate repairs on equipment and contacting appropriate party to perform major repairs and ensuring appropriate storage of samples and data management.
* Keeping the inventories and restocking supplies for the laboratory and maintaining laboratory safety protocols and waste-disposal procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides quality, comprehensive mental health services for patients from diverse backgrounds with serious mental illness and/or health-related difficulties. Fellows provide psychological services under the supervision of licensed psychologists in the state of Arizona. This position may assist in training staff and supervision of staff and psychology trainees. Additionally, this position will assist in conducting a program development project aimed at improving patient care, psychology management services, or medical center administration. This is a post-doctoral educational/training step that meets licensure requirements for independently practicing psychologists. This position will be time-limited for a duration of 12 months.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Under the supervision of licensed psychologists, provide quality direct clinical care to patients in outpatient clinic. Direct clinical care may include individual, family, and group therapy modalities as well as conducting cognitive and psychological evaluations. Fellows work with interdisciplinary team members for collaboration and consultation, treatment evaluation, and treatment planning.
2. Assist in supervision and training of staff, psychology interns, and psychology externs. Provide education and training in psychological theory, diagnostic techniques, treatment modalities, and related programs to psychologists, allied disciplines, and personnel in medical, educational, managerial, social, and community programs. In some assignments, fellows may have opportunity to supervise professional staff, psychology interns, and/or psychology externs.
3. Design, implement, and oversee one programmatic intervention aimed at improving patient care, psychology management services, or medical center administration. Fellows will work with one faculty member who will be responsibly for overseeing the appropriate design, implementation, completion, and evaluation of the project.
4. Present once at grand rounds for the Department of Psychiatry.
5. Participate in monthly group supervision meeting.
6. Participate in weekly and/or monthly interdisciplinary staff trainings and clinical review meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The Special Procedures Technologist working in the Cardiac Cath lab demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of adults and adult-geriatric patients. Under direction, assumes responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance. Assists physicians in diagnosing and treatment of patients within the Cardiac Cath Lab department. Performs a broad spectrum of radiographic procedures utilizing established radiation safety practices. Maintains thorough knowledge of radiation physics, anatomy and radiological techniques in the areas of fluoroscopy, interventional procedures, and surgical techniques. Understands and contributes to the vision/mission and goals of the department. Accountable for performing and providing quality customer service throughout CHN.
* Required
* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.). Graduate of an accredited radiology program. Completion of IABP, EKG, and Hemodynamic Monitoring Classes within one year of employment in position.
* Licensure and Certifications:
* ARRT-CRT
* ACLS within one (1) year of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
* 1 year as a Radiology Technologist.

The Cath Lab Technologist supports patient care by scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during procedures, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
Perform scrub, circulating, and monitoring duties
Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Support STEMI and high-risk cardiac procedures
Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and cath lab staff to ensure safe patient care
Schedule & Call
Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
On-Call: Yes, 9-10 days per month
On-Call Response Time: 30 minutes for STEMI call-ins
Requirements
Radiologic Technologist with Cath Lab experience (scrub procedures required)
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
ARRT certification
ACLS and BLS certifications
Experience & Skills
Experience circulating and monitoring
Familiarity with STEMI protocols
Experience with high-risk cardiac equipment, including Impella, IABP, and Angio (Anari) systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
