Job Summary
Postdoctoral Researchers support teams of KSU faculty and students (undergraduate and graduate students), which engage with external collaborators from other universities, community members, government agencies, and/or private sector entities to stimulate innovation, capacity-building, and sustainability of research and scholarly activity at KSU.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans and executes experimental activities, data analyses, submission of reports or of manuscripts to peer-reviewed publications, and/or attendance and presentation of research findings at appropriate venues of dissemination
2. Develops and contributes to new ideas for research proposals and directions within the research group
3. Develops an Individual Development Plan (IDP) in collaboration with faculty mentor
4. Generates revenue by securing grants and participates in departmental and institutional career development programs, such as grant writing workshops
5. Prepares project budget and ensures funded project operates within budget guidelines
6. Maintains official records and documents, and ensures compliance with institutional policies, and federal, state and local regulations
7. Establishes working relationships and cooperative arrangements with internal and external partners
8. Engages in research and publication

Educational Requirements
Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. D.V.M, Sc.D., M.D., PharmD., etc.) from an accredited institution of higher education or obtainment of doctorate degree within six (6) months of hire

The Pottier Laboratory at WashU Medicine is excited to announce an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The overarching goal of the laboratory is to identify disease associated events that may serve as both therapeutic targets and biomarkers for early onset dementia such as early onset Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia. Our research leverages comprehensive genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic analyses within highly characterized and unique cohorts. We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow that will lead projects that involve genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics. The successful candidate will leverage unique population cohorts and innovative approaches to discover pathways related to disease presentation.
The Pottier Laboratory is part of the NeuroGenomics and Informatics Center at WashU. We are dedicated to generating and analyzing whole-genome sequencing data along with high-throughput, multi-dimensional 'omics' data to advance our understanding of neurodegeneration. WashU Medicine is renowned for its research cohorts of neurodegenerative disorders, which include clinical, neuropathology, neuroimaging, and fluid biomarker phenotypes.

The **Research Scientist-Health Services Research** is responsible for Carelon Research research line of business; specific projects ranging from retrospective to large-scale, prospective studies in areas including population health, health economics, clinical effectiveness (drug, procedures, vaccine, and medical device), and implementation sciences. This role will conduct research studies for Elevance Health, Carelon, and external clients.
**How you will make an Impact:**
+ Leads high quality research project proposal development from early conceptual stages for external and internal submissions.
+ Provides scientific rigorous input in the design and development of the research studies to fulfill study objectives.
+ Executes statistical analyses plans independently with effective problem solving and decision making as principal investigator across a broad program of studies related to a therapeutic area /healthcare intervention and/or external collaborator.
+ Collaborates with project team members to implement the study design and statistical analyses plans utilizing advanced statistical techniques such as propensity score modeling, GEE (generalized estimate equation) difference-in-difference, and graduate-level statistics in performing research study design and analysis.
+ Conducts review of administrative claims, electronic medical records, and survey and clinical data and statistical output and review of statistical output to ensure the superior quality of research activities and client deliverables. .
+ Summarizes key findings and generates value messages for incorporation into project deliverables, publications, and presentations.
+ Prepares study reports and manuscripts for submissions to peer-review journals demonstrating subject matter expertise.
+ Performs key project functions with minimal oversight.
+ Responsible for the final quality and accuracy of study deliverables, presentation of study deliverables and facilitation of the collaboration among project team members towards development.
+ Manage relationships with study champions/clients, communicates scientific decisions, and presents key study insights to the champions, including Elevance Health senior leadership team, internal decision makers, and other external stakeholders/clients.
**Minimum Requirements:**
Requires a MS in health sciences or related advanced degree, or clinical degree such as PharmD, or MD, combined with Master level degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in health service research, biostatistics, epidemiology, health policy, economics or related field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
**Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:**
+ Ph.D. or MD strongly preferred.
+ Postgraduate or post-doctoral training or relevant experience in conducting observational and/or prospective research studies.
+ Understanding of the U.S. health care system, population health and implementation sciences strongly preferred.
+ Successful experience with research grants/funding applications is strongly preferred.
+ Proficient in statistical software, including SAS, STATA, R, and/or Python strongly preferred.
+ Proficient in data management tools, including SQL strongly preferred.

Position Overview
Hexagon Lavish is a scientific research and development startup in Atlanta, Georgia that has an opening for a full-time/permanent position for an experienced staff researcher to work in the capacity of an Applied Mathematician.
The experienced staff researcher, working in the capacity of an Applied Mathematician , will engage heavily in developing advanced algorithms to be implemented for signature "motion" for the DUBL ï "mobile application" in addition to the gaming environment for the "temporary" website. This position will also be deeply-involved in development for consequential analysis, numerical modeling of the IRCs (informational return channels), time analysis, image processing, finite elements as well as Monte Carlo techniques that are applicable to [practical] execution on information structure and retrieval.
The experienced staff researcher, working in the capacity of an Applied Mathematician , will be working closely with the Biostatistician in orchestrating the informational libraries for DUBL ï detection, distinction, retrieval, and execution "motions" in association with the "mobile app" (if plausible).
