The CR/DR Technician will operate computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) equipment to inspect materials, components, and structures for defects in industrial settings. Description The Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS) invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher, based in the DMNS Earth Sciences Department with collaborative research at the University of Oregon. The successful candidate will join a large, NSF-funded multidisciplinary project (Award #2317666) focused on understanding the recovery of life after the Cretaceous/Paleogene (K/Pg) mass extinction through paleontological and geochemical studies of fossils from the Denver Basin, CO and Williston Basin, ND. We are seeking a motivated individual to conduct research on the ecology of early Paleocene mammals through stable isotope analyses of bioapatite, including laboratory research with project PIs and co-PIs based at the University of Oregon (Eugene, OR). Applicants with interests and experience in stable isotope geochemistry, mammalian paleontology, and terrestrial paleoecology are especially encouraged to apply. The PREP program requires staff from a wide range of backgrounds to work on scientific research in many areas. Employees in this position will perform technical work that underpins the scientific research of the collaboration. Primary responsibilities will be leading microwave and RF measurements. Such work will be carried out in close collaboration with partners at NIST as well as industry partners, government laboratories and colleagues at other universities. The position will require publishing findings in peer reviewed journals, presenting the work at project meetings and scientific conferences, mentoring postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students, and contributing to reports for external sponsors. The candidate must be comfortable with the measurement and interpretation of electromagnetic measurements and be proficient in at least one type of programming language for scientific computing (e.g., MATLAB, python, C++). This medical professional will conduct clinical trials (studies) according to ICH, GCP, local regulations, study protocols, and company processes. Responsibilities Conduct physical exams per protocol Review labs and assess abnormalities for clinical significance per protocol Ensures the medical well-being and safety of the participants through the safe performance and execution of the studies. Assists in maintaining clinical oversight and quality on the studies registered on and delivers on study targets, thereby contributing to the commercial success of the site. Reviews enrollment progress, pre-screening and screening success rates, screen failure rates, safety, and retention of participants.
