Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") is seeking experienced Capabilities & Limitations (C&L) Researchers to support the USAF Tactical Data Link (TDL) Configuration and Logistics process and tool. These professionals will research, collect, and analyze TDL system performance and interoperability data to provide actionable insights for warfighters, planners, and operators. This Capabilities & Limitations (C&L) Researcher should be skilled in technical data collection, vetting, and authoring, with expertise in presenting C&L information in practical, operationally relevant formats for USAF combat operators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Data Collection: Research TDL systems test reports and implementation databases to characterize how war fighters share information across TDLs, focusing on providing accurate TDL C&L information and approved Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
• Technical Authoring: Review and update collected technical information to reflect core TDL aspects; present C&L material clearly and concisely using terminology and examples relevant to USAF operators.
• Information Vetting: Coordinate newly developed C&L material with appropriate weapon system Program Offices or assigned SMEs to ensure validity, accuracy, and operational relevance.
• Technical Editing: Ensure all C&L content complies with established business rules, including security classification markings, formatting consistency, and correct spelling.
• Interoperability Reporting: Research, draft, and coordinate interoperability reports for platforms included in the C&L Operator Research Tool.
• Documentation Support: Research and develop background papers, staff studies, talking papers, or presentation materials
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to C&L content and presentation formats to improve usability and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Job Requirements:
• Education: Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or information technology.
• TDL Analysis/Operations Experience: Minimum of four (4) years performing TDL analysis or operating USAF TDL systems using applicable MIL-STDs (3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6040, 188-220, and 2045-47001).
• Web Content Development & Management Experience: At least one (1) year of experience developing and managing web-based content.
• Strong technical writing, editing, and communication skills to present complex TDL information clearly for operational use.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Program Offices, SMEs, and operational users to validate and implement C&L information.
Security Clearance:

Job Duties
The Quantum Electronics Group (QEG) in the Department of Physics at Norfolk State University is seeking a postdoctoral associate with expertise in nonlinear and ultrafast optics, high power diode-pumped lasers, and laser spectroscopy of materials at cryogenic temperatures.
The successful candidate will conduct research on magneto-optics, low temperature and high magnetic field microscopy, and ultrafast two-color, pump-probe experiments on strongly correlated electron systems, topological insulators, 2D materials, thin films, nonlinear optical crystals and quantum devices incorporating some of these materials. The laser facilities include: a 5W Solstice regenerative amplifier, two Topas Prime/NIRUV OPA's, Mai Tai fs laser, a Quantum Design OptiCool cryostat 4k-300K range with a magnetic field up to 7 T, and related optics and electronics.
The materials and devices studied will be fabricated in the NSU Crystal Physics and Quantum Electronics Laboratory and in the NSU-Micron Class100/1000 Cleanroom, both located in the McDemmond Center for Applied Research on the NSU campus. Some of the facilities include, single crystal floating zone growth, Bridgman crystal growth stations, a 14T, 50 mK Quantum Dynamics PPMS, a low temperature XRD, a Laue backscattering, and state-of-the-art cleanroom fabrication systems.
The appointment is for 2 years if hired by September 2025.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a PhD degree in physics, optical engineering, or similar discipline related to research. The applicant must also show an interest and ability to communicate and mentor a diverse student body of undergraduate and graduate students, work in close collaboration with members of the Quantum Electronics Group and have the initiative and capability to work independently.

This position will support a research and extension program in nursery production at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Virginia Beach, VA. This will be a 36-month, benefits-eligible position. Continuation beyond the 36-month appointment will be based on performance and availability of funds.
The prospective candidate will oversee and manage research experiments in the field (nursery and greenhouse production), as well as assist with laboratory-based experiments. The candidate will assist in data archiving and collection, including measuring (1) different aspects of plant growth such as how shoots and roots develop, the shape and structure of the root system, and how the plant functions overall, (2) soilless substrate physical and chemical properties, (3) water analysis, and (4) possible entomology metrics.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in complex clinical research and development studies independently and as part of multidisciplinary research teams
Perform blood quality analyses using laboratory instruments such as flow cytometers, hematology analyzers, aggregometers, plate readers, and gamma counters
Conduct laboratory experiments and biological assays with minimal supervision
Perform radiolabeled in vivo recovery and survival experiments
Maintain accurate, detailed records of experimental data, observations, and analyses
Summarize and document results, conduct basic analyses, and prepare technical reports
Contribute to manuscript preparation for publication in professional journals
Support development, validation, and maintenance of laboratory SOPs and assay methods
Maintain laboratory equipment and contribute to continuous process improvements
Collaborate with scientists and project leaders regarding project progress, observations, and safety procedures
Participate in ongoing technical and scientific training to develop expertise within the discipline
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Masters degree preferred
Experience
Minimum of one year of experience in a research laboratory
Experience in blood banking, hematology, or transfusion medicine preferred
Flow cytometry experience highly desirable
Background in laboratory, pre-clinical, clinical, or computational studies and scientific writing preferred
Skills & Abilities
Strong proficiency in laboratory techniques with high attention to detail
Ability to recognize discrepancies in experimental results
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team
Broad understanding of scientific principles, theories, and related disciplines
