AV has an opportunity available for a full-time research scientist to work with the Polymer and Responsive Materials Research Team at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), OH. The successful candidate will join a team of diverse and multi-disciplinary scientists with a broad range of skills including synthetic chemistry, nanomaterial development, mechanical engineering, and polymer modeling. The candidate will be responsible for the design and synthesis of 2D conjugated polymers, such as Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs), for optoelectronic applications. Successful candidates must possess strong synthesis skills, specifically related to the preparation of low-dimensional organic materials and conjugated polymers, as well as expertise in film fabrication. Furthermore, knowledge of and experience with a wide array of electrochemistry and optoelectronic characterization techniques are highly desired. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the thought leadership of the project and will have the opportunity to expand their skillset in a wide array of materials chemistry and engineering while refining their written and oral communication skills. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Purpose of Position: The Database & Research Assistant supports the fundraising efforts of Pregnancy Center West by maintaining accurate donor records, conducting donor and prospect research, and assisting with the data-driven strategies for donor engagement and stewardship. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and update donor database (e.g., contact information, giving history, correspondence). Generate reports, mailing lists, and donor acknowledgements as needed. Conduct research on prospective donors, foundations, and community partners to support development goals. Assist with donor segmentation and targeted outreach for campaigns and events. Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for data entry and management. Support fundraising events with data tracking, registration, and post-event analysis. Maintain confidentiality of donor and organizational information. Qualifications Qualifications: Currently enrolled at Mt. St. Joseph University Federal Work Study eligibility required Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Interest in nonprofit work and alignment with the mission of Pregnancy Center West. This is a Federal Work Study (FWS) position. Meaning, that hours worked will be paid to the student through a Federal grant that is awarded to the student. FWS positions are available for the academic year only, FWS is not available during the summer. Students may not exceed the funds that are awarded to them. When the awarded amount has been met the student may no longer work in an FWS position, both the student and supervisor will be notified when/if this were to occur. *Please note that not all Work Study that is awarded to students is Federal Work Study.
