Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
Maintain records, document actions, and present written progress reports.
Construct forms or chutes for pouring concrete.
Verify trueness of structure, set grade, check for plumb, etc.
Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt.
Fabricate and install concrete reinforcing bars.
Place and finish concrete.
Maintain clean job site, pick up tools/equipment, secure job site each day-eliminate potential hazards.
Other duties as assigned.

The Division is also engaged in physics preparations for the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), the development of advanced accelerator technologies (such as the Argonne Wakefield Accelerator), and novel superconducting detector technologies. **Key Responsibilities**

Applications are invited for post-doctoral positions in the Cosmological Physics and Advanced Computing Group (CPAC) Group in Argonne National Laboratory's High Energy Physics (HEP) Division. Cosmological research within CPAC covers theory, modeling, observations, and experiments targeted at dark energy, dark matter, primordial fluctuations, inflation, and neutrinos. Theory and modeling activities emphasize multi-wavelength survey science, the galaxy-halo connection, cluster cosmology, and large-scale cosmological simulations. Analysis efforts cover topics such as CMB power spectra, CMB lensing, galaxy clustering, redshift-space distortions, weak/strong gravitational lensing, and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML). The observational focus is on optical sky surveys (DES, DESI, Roman, Rubin Obs/LSST, DESC, SPHEREx), CMB instrumentation and observations (SPT), and cross-correlations between the two.
Applicants with research experience in any of the above areas will be considered. One of our open positions is to work on AI/ML with applications to cosmological modeling and surveys. Another open position is to work with Matthew R. Becker on weak gravitational lensing analysis with Rubin LSST data. The cosmology effort at Argonne includes staff members from the CPAC group, the Computational Science division, and the HEP Detector Group. The group also includes many postdocs, and a number of graduate and undergraduate students. Postdocs can benefit from strong collaborations with applied mathematicians, computer scientists, device physicists, materials scientists, and statisticians; they will also have access to state-of-the-art microfabrication facilities and world-leading supercomputing resources. Interactions with research groups at Fermilab, the University of Chicago, and Northwestern University are highly encouraged.
