PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Visual and manual dexterity are extremely important for this position as is mobility to walk

safely in oilfields, along proposed improvement corridors, to view potentially impacted areas,

and overall safely traverse irregular terrain. Visual acuity to safely drive at night and in a variety

of weather conditions is required.

The job presents work hazards that are customary in upstream oil & gas production sites.

Incumbent will be subject to performing sedentary to light work, exerting up to 25 pounds of

force occasionally, or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, reach overhead

for items, stoop, bend, and twist while working. Other physical activities include ability to

utilize fingers to feel and grasp objects or work devices as needed and manual dexterity in the

use of the hands, seeing, talking, hearing, performing repetitive motions and standing for long

periods of time. Incumbent must be able to drive a vehicle, usually a car or light truck, and get

into and out of the vehicle on a regular basis. Requirements include walking on uneven ground

and over or around obstacles or structures such as pipes or low rails and walls, and up and down

stairs on a regular basis.

JOB SUMMARY
Intermediate/Developmental Level– Under close supervision, incumbents in this role perform routine reservoir engineering assignments which are of limited scope and complexity in order to assist with and develop oil and gas reserves estimates and future production schedules. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with or performing well test analysis, economic analysis, material balances, and various recovery method analyses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs analysis of internal and third party reservoir studies • Performs economic analysis and evaluations of acquisitions, drilling, recompletion and work over opportunities to help with justification and drilling programs • Performs reservoir simulations studies • Assists with budgeting, forecasting and other analysis for reporting purposes • Assists with special studies of producing properties in order to estimate oil and gas reserves

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Established proficiency in computing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required• Working knowledge of ARIES is preferred• Working knowledge of Spotfire is preferred• Must be able to work with large amounts of detailed data with high level of accuracy• Must possess the ability to be self-directed while working in a team environment• Must possess strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills• Must be able to meet established deadlines

Position Overview and Responsibilities

* The Subsurface Monitoring & Surveillance (M&S) Engineer is Responsible to focus on the main process of Monitoring & Surveillance and contributes to other subsurface processes, which include, Modeling, Production Planning and Analysis & Studies, minor activities of MoC's, GHG Emissions reduction HSE, AFE's and other responsibilities to include minor project management as needed, this positions interacts with the local Operations Center, Production Engineering, ExCe Subsurface, Technical Services, and various local and regional teams as required to maximize the areas production potential
* Required to provide inputs to Production Engineering for well potential estimates, collaborating with various groups in the definition and monthly updates of each wells production potential, ensuring alignment with reservoir potential calculations to complete modelling and design processes
* Required to provide inputs for the development and periodic updates of short term (1YR) production and injection plans, including the associated budget. The M&S position will collaborate with Production Engineering in the development of the yearly production plans, providing technical inputs and ensuring that the final proposal is aligned with the asset development plan, provide inputs to the operations center to develop and update inputs into the weekly asset planning and scheduling meeting, support internal and external reserves audits as requested
* Responsible to define subsurface requirements for in year data acquisition plan, collaborating with various teams to establish a list of deliverables of data acquisition for subsurface requirements, frequencies and methodology linked to budgeting exercise, ensure coherence of historic data base of well operations by analyzing data, verifying consistency with historic trends to ensure accuracy in mid \ long term forecasting inputs with Subsurface ExCe's
* Responsible to monitor and analyze well performance and field decline through the evolution of key parameters such as GOR, Pressure, WOR and CO2 against production profiles, leveraging available reservoir models, tracking daily performance and cross check with forecasts developed looking for deviations
* Responsible to propose early corrective actions at field level when deviations from plans are identified, working closely with Production Operations, ExCe's, Operations Center, Production Services teams to discuss and identify actions plans
* Ensure compliance with all Repsol policies and procedures as it pertains to technical and engineering specifications and federal, state and local regulations with special attention to those related to safety and environmental protection
* Any other reasonable activity required by management

Required Qualifications

* Legally authorized to work in the US for any employer
* Bachelor's Degree in appropriate engineering field (Petroleum and Natural Gas or Mechanical preferred)
* Professional Engineering Certification Preferred
* 3+ years of progressive experience in Oil & Gas Industry
