Senior Petroleum / Reservoir Engineer Description
As a valuable member a Reservoir Engineer would engage with our clients throughout the year for client related services answering questions, creating deliverables and engaging various parts of the organization to assist our clients in their reserves audits, evaluations or certifications. In addition, there is a growing necessity to establish and integrate data analytic tools that lead to informed decisions in a timely manner. Combining an analytic mindset, a team-first attitude, and understanding the workflow methodology, there is a great opportunity to make a difference in how Ryder Scott project teams function on a day-to-day basis.
The Senior Petroleum Reservoir Engineer will work in our Denver office and may qualify to work two (2) days a week remotely.
Position Responsibilities Summary
Collaborate with and develop a foundational knowledge of the assets and operations to effectively address business needs
Primary administrator for decline analysis software in support of forecasts/economics. Commonly used software includes ARIES, PHDWin and ValNav

Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize data flow using macros, scripts or other novel tools

Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering
Minimum 10 - 15 years of Oil & Gas upstream experience within an operating company
Sound understanding of classical reservoir engineering principles, forecasting, reserves estimation and classification, fluid and rock characterization
Functional understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and reservoir characterization issues and how they relate to reservoir performance
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
Data science experiences: Spotfire, relational DBs
Strong communication, presentation, writing and organization skills
Self-motivated and capable of proactively driving continuous improvement
Professional Engineering license is not a must, but will give you an edge

The Senior Reservoir Engineer will provide technical and strategic support to the Haynesville Development team, with responsibilities spanning prospect delineation, performance forecasting, development planning, economic evaluation, flowback optimization, production forecasting, post-well reviews, and reserves estimation. **Key Accountabilities**
+ Develop and maintain integrated reservoir development plans in collaboration with the Geoscience team, optimizing future well placement and identifying well interventions to maximize field value.
+ Lead development project AFEs and pre-spud technical reviews in coordination with Geology, Land, Drilling & Completions (D&C), Facilities, Commissioning, and Midstream teams.
+ Define and implement fit-for-purpose reservoir and well surveillance programs to enable performance evaluation, hydrocarbon-in-place estimation, and development optimization.

Perform on-site forensic field investigations for incidents involving a broad range of Polaris products. What You'll Be Doing
Travel, Troubleshoot, and Take Charge
- Visit project sites across different locations to oversee installations, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure smooth execution.

What We are Looking For
