How you will make an impact/Key responsibilities:
POSITION OVERVIEW: The position involves high guest contact and presents the first point of contact for all of our guests. The FrontDeskAgent is responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out, answers and processes all phone calls received, and handles all special requests for services or information, in accordance with standard policies and procedures. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Work to resolve guest challenges, ensuring guest satisfaction.
This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Regular attendance in accordance with company standards is essential for success in this position.
What you need to succeed/Core competencies:
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent
Computer skills required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
Experience with hotel property management systems is preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Guest Service Agent is preferred.
Previous cash handling experience is preferred
Good understanding of the English language.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 25 pounds.
Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds.
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8-hours in length. Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:
Be in proper uniform, with nametag.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Work to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with guests as well as team members
Maintain knowledge of all hotel features/services, hours of operation, room rates, special packages and promotions, daily house count and expected arrivals/departures and scheduled daily group activities.
Be familiar with all local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
Answer telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Verify guest information upon arrival and departure
Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery).
Maintain and secure a cash bank to perform job functions.
Obtain method of payment from guests (credit or cash)
Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
Process all payments according to established hotel requirements, and Commonwealth Lodging Management cash handling S.O.P.'s
Maintain all guest information and hotel occupancy status using hotel operating systems
Maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
Assists in handling emergencies in order to protect our guest and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. Must act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status.
Responsible for knowing and abiding by all department, Commonwealth Lodging Management and hotel policies and procedures. As well as the brand standards, policies and procedures.

I. Job Purpose/Objective:

This position is the primary voice and initial experience for all customer and/or agent reservations. CRO Agents communicate verbally and in writing with all customers, vendors and other Roberts Hawaii departments. CRO Agents primarily answer incoming calls, check and process orders received via departmental email, fax and website portal. Reservation requests are handled with excellent customer service and must therefore be handled in a timely manner, with attention to detail accuracy and follow through.
II. Essential Job Functions:
Book reservations for all Roberts Hawaii products and services in all four (4) major islands (subject to change)
Understand and adhere to all company and department policies, procedures, and codes of conduct
Answer incoming calls while providing excellent customer service in order to reconfirm reservation information with customer via phone and Fare Harbor system; process payments, and answer inquiries
Communicate both verbally and in writing in order to create accurate reports and deliver presentations
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in absence of a Supervisor or Manager
Escalate reservation and operational challenges and issues to Lead, Supervisor, Manager and/or Director for resolution
Attend training for customer service, systems, new products and services and other areas as needed
Share feedback and assist with process improvement and documentation for CRO Agent tasks
Complete daily tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
Complete OS Ticket assignments
Check email frequently for product and operational updates
Check and process orders or requests received via departmental email, fax and website portal via Fare Harbor
Forward special email requests to Groups department, Supervisor, Manager or Director as circumstance dictates
Compile and send manifests to the appropriate parties and departments to be notified
Download and process reservations from Expedia, AVIP, and other agencies
Provide counts throughout the day to relevant Roberts Hawaii department counterparts
Purchase airline tickets, confirm with customer, and complete the reservation process for One-Day tours

JOB SUMMARY
The Reservations Agent serves as a key point of contact for guests seeking room accommodations across all Valencia Hotel Group properties. * Previous property management system and hotel experience advantageous
* Must be self-motivated
* Must be able to read and interpret documents such us safety rules operation and maintenance instructions

* Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages
* Must be able to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds which also includes snow shoveling
What you will do
* Answering the telephone
* Making reservations for hotel, property rentals, dining reservations or ski school
* Processing deposits and cancelations
* Guest correspondence
* Handling complaint
* Generating reports
* Giving guests proper information of the resort or hotel layout
* Assisting frontdesk staff, housekeeping and other duties as assigned
