Supports Long Term Services & Support (LTSS) network providers with recruitment and retention of direct care staff. Promotes self-determination and self-direction options with our membership.
+ Partners with LTSS providers and account management to monitor staffing levels and engage providers and offer assistance with staffing gaps when indicated Conducts virtual and in-person job fairs to assist with recruitment
+ Develops and maintains collaborative partnerships with local colleges and universities, the state workforce commission, agency networks and community groups
Provides assistance to members through the following methods:
+ Education and assistance with accessing Employment Assistance and Supported Employment benefits
+ Referrals to the workforce commission and community organizations that link members to employment opportunities
+ Provides support for individuals who self-direct, assist with back-up plan development (as needed) and provide webinars and forums on self-direction
+ Monitors and expands alternative payment models with LTSS providers to provide financial incentive paid to direct care staff for high quality work
**Education/Experience:** Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Health Care, Sociology or related field or equivalent experience. 3+ years of related, employment specialist, workforce development, job coach, HR, client services, community relations, preferably in a managed care or Medicaid environment or other related experience. Community Health Worker Certification preferred.

Pay Range: $26.50 - $47.59 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging as much independence as possible.
Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships.
Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties.
Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
Know each resident's location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
Attend all required in-service training sessions.
Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED required.
6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

What does a Resident Assistant at Sagora do?
Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
Participate in programming for residents
Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status
Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up
Other duties as assigned
What do you need to be a Resident Assistant?
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CNA certification is a plus, but not required
Experience with dementia care preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other associates in English
