Time Commitment
The RA position is time-consuming and is expected to be the principal out-of-class time commitment. Some periods of time will have greater demand of a student leaders time (such as education & development, high check-in/check-out times, duty rotation, special activities, campus crisis, etc.) and all student leaders are expected to be available and respond as required.
As a result, all student leaders are required to follow certain guidelines regarding outside interests:
* Any formal commitments of an RA's time must be discussed with CD/GSA prior to engagement in such activities
* Any outside commitments, if approved, will be limited to a total of 10 hours a week maximum
* If at any time these outside commitments, even if totaling less than 10 hours per week, become a detriment to fulfilling my responsibilities, especially availability and visibility in the community, such commitments will be reevaluated with the CD/GSA and may need to be decreased or discontinued
While in the RA position:
* You cannot hold a full-time internship, participate in student teaching, or a similarly demanding practicum or internship, in either fall or spring semesters

Clare Housing is seeking a candidates for Resident Assistant in an innovative, no-barrier supportive housing model is funded through the HINT (Housing Innovations for Needs-based Tenancy) award and is designed for single adults living with HIV who are also navigating active substance use, mental health challenges, and chronic homelessness.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for harm reduction, a deep commitment to equitable healthcare access, and the compassion and open-mindedness needed to engage with people in complex situations-exactly where they are.
This position will provide operational support at the facility, providing onsite coverage and assisting with coordinating services for residents. This position requires physical activity, as one person provides direct care/supervision to individuals in a home setting. This is a pilot project through HINT and applicants must be flexible and willing to work within a team environment.
The hourly range based on skills, qualifications, and experience: $18-$20/hour

This position will work at one Clare Housing supportive housing building for adults living with HIV and other disabilities. All of the residents are formerly homeless individuals; this is a harm reduction environment and active use may occur in private places. The buildings are not accessible, there are stairs leading into the house and multiple floors and smoke free. This position will potentially have variable hours which may include evening and weekend hours.

Position Compensation
