Starting Pay Range: $20/hr
PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Lead Resident Advisor guides, assists and instructs residents in activities for independent functioning. This role will be cross trained across all homes and provide direct support to Program Managers with administrative tasks, as well as working open shifts where needed. Responsibilities will be performed in accordance with Interact's CHS policies and procedures.
SCHEDULE:
Must demonstrate flexibility with a schedule that will vary from week to week, depending on staffing needs, emergency situations and any other issues that may arise as it pertains to meeting the clients' needs. The schedule will include two 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. shifts, two 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. shifts, and one Saturday or Sunday shift each week.
FUNCTIONS:
The Lead Resident Advisor's responsibility is to prepare residents for independent living under the direction of the Program Manager.
The Lead Resident Advisor will assist the Program Manager with:
Shopping
Monitoring to ensure diets are being followed as prescribed
Calling the pharmacy for medication refills as needed
Other administrative tasks as assigned
The Lead Resident Advisor will assist, instruct, and monitor residents in all activities for independent functioning, including situations relating to their health, welfare, and safety, under the guidance of the Program Manager and in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team.
Fill in shifts as needed in any of the homes in the CHS program.
Incorporate being part of the team in the development of Individual Service Plans (ISP), and the implementation of goals
Ensure that team members are informed of issues and concerns, when necessary
Ensure documentation is completed daily in accordance with Agency and government policy and procedure
Complete skill assessments as needed
Assist in the planning, preparation for and implementation of activities for residents
Go on community outings with residents
Accompany and advocate for residents at medical, BSU, social service appointments, etc.
Assist in crisis intervention and follow established proce dures
Assist residents with maintaining appropriate family contacts
Interacts with clients and other staff in a positive, con structive and professional manner.
Participates in training as assigned.
Must function in full compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, federal state and local laws and Interact's Code of Conduct.
Must participate in Interact's Compliance Program including reporting suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations to supervisor/manager/director or the Compliance Officer.
Adheres to safe work practices.
Any other job duties that are assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma and 3 years of experience or specialized training in intellectual and developmental disabilities. Associates degree preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required to have a valid driver's license from the state of residence with a minimum of one (1) year driving experience; a driving record free of at-fault accidents and/or moving violations within the past year, preferred. Must have the ability to drive a car or van as needed.
Ability to communicate with and relate to individuals with Intellectual disabilities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in an unstructured environment and display individual initiative, creativity, good judgment and effective operational skills.
Certification in Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid, Fire Safety Training within the first six months of employment.
Ability to lift a minimum of sixty (60) pounds and be able to perform transfer after training.
Clearance in accordance with PA Acts 33 & 80.
Ability to provide a satisfactory physical examination statement prior to date of hire and every two years thereafter.
Must complete initial NADSP certification and maintain recertification requirements outlined in the NADSP Credentialing Process form.

JOB SUMMARY:
To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member. The RTA provides direct care including support, supervision, structure, assistance, skill training and therapeutic interventions, in groups and with individuals, in collaboration with RTF-A treatment team. Responsible for maintaining a supportive, safe, and therapeutic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of HS diploma/GED required. Prefer Associates or higher degree in human services field from an accredited college/university.
2 years direct experience working with youth or individuals with behavioral health concerns
Must be able to use an electronic health record and electronic time keeping
Ability to relate positively to youth and young adults with serious behavioral health issues and youth that may have a co-occurring diagnosis of autism or intellectual disability.
Active and Valid Driver's License required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1.Provide supervision of residents at all times, unless the resident is using independence time.
2.Maintain a supportive, therapeutic relationship with each resident.
3.Be aware of each resident's service plan, history, medications, current needs and any special accommodation/s they require.
4.Actively participate in residents' program planning process and support residents' independence in choosing goals.
5.Always act as a role model, maintaining appropriate boundaries and demonstrating effective communication skills.
6.Support individuals by providing assistance and training, at varying levels based on need, in all areas of daily living, including but not limited to the following:
Hygiene, grooming, toileting and bathing
Care of clothing, laundry
Cooking, nutrition, dietary needs, meal preparation
Leisure activity, recreation and social skills building
7.Maintain clear and consistent expectations of each resident while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
8.Implement, on a consistent basis, direct service interventions as defined in the individual's service and psychiatric rehabilitation plans.

10.Maintain open and ongoing collaboration and communication with all team members including other RTAs, supervisors, therapists, psychiatrist, nurses and others working on the team.
11.Maintain ongoing communication with each resident's family/significant others utilizing diplomacy and tact and creating a welcoming environment.
12.Ensure any family concerns are shared immediately with a supervisor.
13.Participate in household shopping, as applicable.
14.Coordinate, facilitate and engage in regular social activities both on and off campus with the residents.
15.Transport and accompany residents to appointments and activities, as assigned.
16.Provide program/shift coverage as assigned.
17.Upon successful completion of training, monitor residents taking their prescribed medications.
18.Provide crisis intervention in a calm therapeutic manner when indicated.
19.Upon successful completion of training and in accordance with PATH policies and procedures, implement approved manual restrictive procedures only if necessary to prevent a resident from imminent harm to themself or others.
20.Follow the ‘When to Call a Supervisor' protocol which includes immediately contacting a
supervisor, or the on-call supervisor, regarding any incidents, issues or concerns.
21.Participate in scheduled meetings, including stakeholder's meetings, case conferences and community meetings, as well as staff meetings and supervision.
22.As assigned, schedule necessary medical and dental appointments for residents.
23.Assist residents in maintaining overall health by: becoming knowledgeable about their health histories, accompanying them to appointments and emergency services as needed, and encouraging individuals to follow healthy living choices and wellness recommendations from their doctors.
24.Collaborate with jobs, schools or other programs residents attend.
25.Ensure all required documentation is completed in timely, comprehensive and legible manner and in accordance with PATH policies and procedures. This includes, prior to the end of shift, ensuring shift notes are completed and document residents' progress towards their goals, as well as completing incident reports for any non-routine incidents, including noting when supervisor was informed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to perform crisis management interventions including restraints once training is successfully completed. Ability to walk distances during psych rehab activities and other community outings with residents.

PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Lead Resident Advisor guides, assists and instructs residents in activities for independent functioning. This role will be cross trained across all homes and provide direct support to Program Managers with administrative tasks, as well as working open shifts where needed. Responsibilities will be performed in accordance with Interact's CHS policies and procedures.
SCHEDULE:
Must demonstrate flexibility with a schedule that will vary from week to week, depending on staffing needs, emergency situations and any other issues that may arise as it pertains to meeting the clients' needs. The schedule will include two 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. shifts, two 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. shifts, and one Saturday or Sunday shift each week.
FUNCTIONS:
The Lead Resident Advisor's responsibility is to prepare residents for independent living under the direction of the Program Manager.
The Lead Resident Advisor will assist the Program Manager with:
Shopping
Monitoring to ensure diets are being followed as prescribed
Calling the pharmacy for medication refills as needed
Other administrative tasks as assigned
The Lead Resident Advisor will assist, instruct, and monitor residents in all activities for independent functioning, including situations relating to their health, welfare, and safety, under the guidance of the Program Manager and in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team.

JOB SUMMARY:
To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member. The RTA provides direct care including support, supervision, structure, assistance, skill training and therapeutic interventions, in groups and with individuals, in collaboration with RTF-A treatment team. Responsible for maintaining a supportive, safe, and therapeutic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of HS diploma/GED required. Prefer Associates or higher degree in human services field from an accredited college/university.
2 years direct experience working with youth or individuals with behavioral health concerns
Must be able to use an electronic health record and electronic time keeping
Ability to relate positively to youth and young adults with serious behavioral health issues and youth that may have a co-occurring diagnosis of autism or intellectual disability.
Active and Valid Driver's License required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1.Provide supervision of residents at all times, unless the resident is using independence time.
2.Maintain a supportive, therapeutic relationship with each resident.
3.Be aware of each resident's service plan, history, medications, current needs and any special accommodation/s they require.
4.Actively participate in residents' program planning process and support residents' independence in choosing goals.
5.Always act as a role model, maintaining appropriate boundaries and demonstrating effective communication skills.
6.Support individuals by providing assistance and training, at varying levels based on need, in all areas of daily living, including but not limited to the following:
Hygiene, grooming, toileting and bathing
Care of clothing, laundry
Cooking, nutrition, dietary needs, meal preparation
Leisure activity, recreation and social skills building
7.Maintain clear and consistent expectations of each resident while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
8.Implement, on a consistent basis, direct service interventions as defined in the individual's service and psychiatric rehabilitation plans.
9.Oversee and actively assist in the completion of household chores ensuring the home is always neat and clean.
10.Maintain open and ongoing collaboration and communication with all team members including other RTAs, supervisors, therapists, psychiatrist, nurses and others working on the team.
11.Maintain ongoing communication with each resident's family/significant others utilizing diplomacy and tact and creating a welcoming environment.
12.Ensure any family concerns are shared immediately with a supervisor.
13.Participate in household shopping, as applicable.
14.Coordinate, facilitate and engage in regular social activities both on and off campus with the residents.
15.Transport and accompany residents to appointments and activities, as assigned.
16.Provide program/shift coverage as assigned.
17.Upon successful completion of training, monitor residents taking their prescribed medications.
18.Provide crisis intervention in a calm therapeutic manner when indicated.
19.Upon successful completion of training and in accordance with PATH policies and procedures, implement approved manual restrictive procedures only if necessary to prevent a resident from imminent harm to themself or others.
20.Follow the ‘When to Call a Supervisor' protocol which includes immediately contacting a
supervisor, or the on-call supervisor, regarding any incidents, issues or concerns.
21.Participate in scheduled meetings, including stakeholder's meetings, case conferences and community meetings, as well as staff meetings and supervision.
22.As assigned, schedule necessary medical and dental appointments for residents.
23.Assist residents in maintaining overall health by: becoming knowledgeable about their health histories, accompanying them to appointments and emergency services as needed, and encouraging individuals to follow healthy living choices and wellness recommendations from their doctors.
24.Collaborate with jobs, schools or other programs residents attend.
25.Ensure all required documentation is completed in timely, comprehensive and legible manner and in accordance with PATH policies and procedures. This includes, prior to the end of shift, ensuring shift notes are completed and document residents' progress towards their goals, as well as completing incident reports for any non-routine incidents, including noting when supervisor was informed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to perform crisis management interventions including restraints once training is successfully completed. Ability to walk distances during psych rehab activities and other community outings with residents.
