A ResidentAssistant (RA) is a student leader that works with the Office of Campus Life and other departments on campus to help create a supportive community in the residence halls. They serve as a resource for students and ensure a positive living experience that promotes growth academically, personally, and socially. They promote safety by enforcing campus policies and following protocols. They build community through programming and having an active presence on campus. ResidentAssistants report to their direct Community Director and the Director of Campus Life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistsresidents with transition to university and residence hall life.
Enforce university and residence hall policies and regulations
Remains available to residents while on duty in designated areas
Perform rounds during duty shifts to ensure safety of residents during the evening
Provide designated programming as outlined in the manual
Assists in supervising residents and responding to complaints, reports, requests, and emergencies
Submits reports on infractions, violations, and safety issues
Promotes Campus Life events and programs
Inform residents about relevant campus and local activities
Facilitates mediation of disputes between residents
Attends and participates in staff meetings and training sessions
Organizes and directs regular floor meetings with residents
Supports residence hall team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Become familiar with and abide by the RA manual
Other duties as assigned by the Campus Life staff
Qualifications:
Maintain a full-time student status at Post University with at least 12 credits per semester
Have and maintain a cumulative 2.75 grade point average
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to get along with students of various cultures and backgrounds
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent leadership and public speaking skills
Proven organization and logistical skills
Ability to respond to and assess urgent situations

The Role
This is a part-time, onsite position based at our Yorktown Heights, NY campus, five days a week, averaging about 25 hours per week

Be the welcoming face of the organization, greeting Graduates, Donors, Volunteers, and guests with warmth and professionalism.
Manage visitor access by monitoring the main gate, checking in visitors and vendors, and notifying staff of their arrival.
Handle incoming calls on multiple phone lines with courtesy and efficiency. Provide helpful information, route calls to the appropriate departments or individuals, and take clear, accurate messages when needed.
Create and maintain a variety of letters, communications, and documents for students, graduates, and staff, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
Manage data entry and maintain up to date student and graduate records using Salesforce and DocuSign.
Receive and distribute incoming packages (UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc.) and prepare outgoing shipments, including guide dog equipment.
Oversee mailroom supplies and equipment, arranging orders and maintenance as needed.
Provide day-to-day support for Front Desk operations and assist the Training Department with projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications You Will Need
Three to five years of administrative experience, ideally in a client-facing or service-oriented environment.

This position works closely with the Summer Youth and Precollege, Intergenerational Learning and Continuing Education (ILCE) Programs Coordinator and the Summer Visual Arts and Writing Programs and Continuing Education Coordinator.

· Ensure proper and timely follow-up for incidents reporting to DHS and CHI.

· Attend training and obtain certifications per OTDA and DHS rules, including one-time and recurring training and certifications.
TENANCY AND APARTMENT MANAGEMENT
· Ensure tenants pay rent timely. Develop rent-based budget schedules.
· Assist tenants with rent payment and rent arrears payment agreements and ensure compliance with rent payment stipulations.
· Counsel tenants to ensure healthy housekeeping and good neighbor behaviors.
· Coordinate with Property Management to ensure essential services including heat, hot water, electric and plumbing are operational; and apartment repairs and maintenance are performed timely.
