Job Description
Salary: $16.25-$18.00/Hr
Schedule: Full Time Days/Evenings including weekends
In this position, your main responsibilities will include:
Providing residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing and maintaining their personal environment.
Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
Reviewing and adhering to resident care plans as well as obtaining vital signs.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences and skills.
High School diploma or equivalent is required
All state educational requirements for the position must be met.
CPR certification preferred.
Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.

Under the leadership of the Executive Director, the Associate Director for Residential Experience, the Residence Life Manager, and the supervision of the Residence Education senior staff, the Resident Advisor (RA) is a live-in student staff position that plays an integral role in the function of the department of Residence Life and Student Housing (RLSH).
RLSH aims to enhance educational, social, and personal growth for residents and further the values of Quality, Caring, Learning, and Community. The Resident Advisor helps to create conditions within the residence halls that allow a diverse student population to live and learn in a comfortable, inclusive environment.
To aid the department in achieving these goals, the Resident Advisor must employ a student-centered approach, the ability to identify and address student needs, a desire to collaborate, strategic problem-solving ability, sound judgment, administrative management skills, and a timely response to problems that arise.
RAs work approximately 20 hours per week throughout the academic year. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. The anticipated start date for this position is in January 2026 unless there are openings that occur sooner.
On a weekly basis:
Administration and Attendance
* Attend all staff meetings and seminars beginning at 7:00PM every Tuesday.
* Attend and actively participate in Community Association on Tuesday evenings after staff meetings end.
* Complete all paperwork and other administrative tasks for job components in accordance with corresponding deadlines and procedures.
* Communicate consistently through and attend weekly or bi-weekly meetings with their supervisor.
* Work overnight on call duty shift that may include weekends and breaks.
* Work at least three but no more than five hours at the SRC, Rainforest, East, and/or West desk depending on assignment.
* Desk tasks include handling check ins/outs, equipment reservations, lock outs, and similar administrative tasks.
Community Development and Programming
* Be an active and integral member of the residence hall community, and work to develop and foster a positive healthy community in their assigned area.

To best aid the department in achieving these goals, the Senior Resident Advisor must employ a student-centered approach, the ability to identify and address student needs, a desire to collaborate, strategic problem-solving ability, sound judgment, administrative management skills, and a timely response to problems that arise.
SRAs will work approximately 25 hours per week throughout the academic year. The anticipated start date for this position is in January 2026 unless there are openings that occur sooner.
Position responsibilities include all those of a Resident Advisor (RA) with additional administrative requirements to support the success of your assigned residential community.

On a weekly basis:
* Serve as a role model and peer mentor for student staff in assigned community.

* Serves as a healthy positive role model and leader, encourages compliance of the program, provides residential orientation, demonstrates respect and safe reassurance toward native adolescents.
