Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist Administrator with monitoring vehicle maintenance and schedule services as needed.

Based in Brunswick, ME, the two Stewardship Field Assistants may work together to accomplish field tasks and will often work independently. Monitoring both preserves and conservation easements to understand change and enforce restrictions is a primary function.
The Field Assistant may contribute to monitoring and management efforts such as Ecological Reserve monitoring, invasive species management, and special projects such as contributing to restoration projects on TNC lands. The Field assistant may participate in the maintenance of human use infrastructure, including foot trails, kiosks and wayfinding signage, boundary marking, and will at times interact with the public to furnish information or coordinate with partners.
This is a full-time, 26-week, temporary position that begins on June 15 and ends on December 11, 2026. The Assistant may work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances. This position requires physical exertion and/or muscular strain, long hours in isolated settings, frequent long and overnight travel, and presents frequent possibility of injury. Housing is available for $500/month a 30-minute walk from the Brunswick office. TNC vehicles are provided for getting out into the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
Conducts legal compliance monitoring and drafts compliance reports; enters monitoring data; works with Land Managers to notify parties in the event of issues.
Works independently and/or with stewardship staff and volunteers to perform preserve maintenance tasks (maintaining signs, maintaining trails, and parking lots, marking boundaries, controlling invasive species).
Interacts with preserve visitors by providing information about the preserves, promoting the work of the Conservancy, answering questions, and educating around preserve policies.
Researches and acquires ecological and legal information and field collects natural resource information pertinent to the management of preserves and conservation easements and assists with updating preserve management plans.
Deals or upchannels problems as they arise on preserves (may include timber and other forms of trespass, unauthorized vehicular use, illegal camping).
May assists stewardship staff with ecological monitoring..
May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances. Requires considerable physical exertion and/or muscular strain.
Will include lengthy and overnight travel, which may include camping in remote locations.

Count and sign on approved form, all narcotics with approved personnel before accepting medication keys. Contact a supervisor immediately with discrepancies.
Order all necessary medication and treatments from appropriate pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is no less than 7 days.
Notify supervisor when supply is less than 2 days and medicine hasn't been received.
Responsible for receiving and verifying all medicine received is accurate according to pharmacy label and MAR. Notifies pharmacy and DH&W of any discrepancies.
Responsible for proper storage of all medications and ensuring all lotions, ointments and liquids stored separately from oral medications.
Responsible for dating all appropriate vials or bottles at time of initial opening and following pharmacy protocol on length of time they can be used.
Responsible for weekly inspections of all medications to ensure all expired medications are removed.
Responsible for verifying all current MARs are compared to new MARs at change over time and notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies.
Responsible for removing all discontinued medication from med cart and giving it to the supervisor.
Provide personal care to residents to include, but not limited to, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and eating, etc.
Provide general nursing care to include, but not limited to, vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights.
Document appropriate information in the daily log as required and notify supervisor of all concerns.
Answer calls and assistresidents with needs as assigned.
Responsible for daily cleaning of all medicine carts at end of shift and restocking as needed.
Responsible for weekly deep cleaning of all med carts.
Attend and participate in staff training and in-services.
Must maintain accurate records to include preparation of all medical charts for new admissions and readmissions and ensures medical record is complete within forty-eight (48) hours as Policy and Procedure (P&P) and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range $15.45 - $18.45 per Hour
As an Activities Assistant you will:
Assist with planning and organizing activities that provide opportunities for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression to our Residents.
Our activities program fulfills the psychological, physical, social, and spiritual needs of our Residents.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent certification; CNA Certification desirable
Experience working with a geriatric population
Current CPR Certification
Computer Skills
Valid Maine Driver's License; with a clean driving record
Activities Assistant Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently, with flexibility, good judgment, and effectively communicate with staff, residents, and families
Strong desire to provide care to other people
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
