The Role:
The Residential Assistant will provide support to individuals in the program meet their recovery goals. The RA will be responsible for enforcement of house rules, administer medications, complete random room searches, and drug screens in compliance with state regulations. Full-time, part- time positions available. (2nd and 3rd shift needed.)

Position Overview
Assist and support Administrator in the day-to-day operations of the home. The Residential Program Assistant must act as a role model and mentor to co-workers by maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude, and keeping an open line of communication with the Residential supervisor. Responsibilities
· Assist with monthly fire drill and associated documentation, ensuring they are completed.
· Complete all applicable duties on the Residential Program Assistant Monthly Checklist and submit to your supervisor by the 8th of each month.
· Ensure completion of the Monthly Med Room and MAR Review and submit to Administrator.
· Assist with monitoring staff training needs as requested by the program Administrator and training department.
· Take an active role in assisting with staff scheduling in the home, excluding approval of overtime.
· Follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety practices. Attend monthly Safety Committee meetings or identify who will attend in your absence.
· Assist Administrator with monitoring the facility for repair needs and report concerns in a timely manner. Ensure the home maintains a clean and safe environment.
· Assist Administrator with monitoring and maintaining a reasonable amount of inventory to ensure necessary items are stocked.
· Assist Administrator with monitoring vehicle maintenance and schedule services as needed.
· Assist with coordination of members' appointments and follow up on all recommendations. Complete all required documentation.
· Assist with reconciling Members' accounts by following Consumer Money Management Policy.
· Assist with reconciling Petty Cash monthly or as needed.
· Assist in preparation and participate in Resident Counsel Meetings, ensuring meeting minutes are posted in the appropriate place.
· Assist with completing Annual Waiver Assessments, Care Plans, PCP paperwork, client attendance, Modivcare Mileage Reimbursement, program charge accounts, Monthly Summary of Members and submit client pay stubs (if applicable), etc. as well as other administrative duties deemed necessary.
· Assist with gathering payroll information to be used by the Administrator in preparing and submitting payroll, ensuring all staff approve their timecards in a timely manner.
· Assist with New Employee In-Home Orientation Checklist for all new hires.
· Assist with mentoring and development of co-workers.
· Assist with documentation compliance by working with Administrator on reviewing documentation and training staff as needed.
· Collaborate with and assist in training other RPAs as needed in order to ensure uniform systems are being followed.
· Assist with direct care responsibilities.
· Maintain all applicable trainings as required.

Count and sign on approved form, all narcotics with approved personnel before accepting medication keys. Contact a supervisor immediately with discrepancies.
Order all necessary medication and treatments from appropriate pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is no less than 7 days.
Notify supervisor when supply is less than 2 days and medicine hasn't been received.
Responsible for receiving and verifying all medicine received is accurate according to pharmacy label and MAR. Notifies pharmacy and DH&W of any discrepancies.
Responsible for proper storage of all medications and ensuring all lotions, ointments and liquids stored separately from oral medications.
Responsible for dating all appropriate vials or bottles at time of initial opening and following pharmacy protocol on length of time they can be used.
Responsible for weekly inspections of all medications to ensure all expired medications are removed.
Responsible for verifying all current MARs are compared to new MARs at change over time and notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies.
Responsible for removing all discontinued medication from med cart and giving it to the supervisor.
Provide personal care to residents to include, but not limited to, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and eating, etc.

Partners with the case manager to share information and coordinate activities such as home visits. Share any consumer- or home-related concerns with the case manager at least monthly. Partner with other Person-Centered Planning Team members.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with individuals, family members, case managers, and others who may come into contact with individual consumers. Reports problems to the Director in a timely manner.
Plan for HCBS mandatory annual trainings; create/update annual training materials yearly, schedule training dates, send out training links to director for directions on sharing with coordinators.
Monitor providers who are due for HCBS/OADS Mandatory trainings and register them accordingly communicating directly with the provider and Cc coordinator.
Participate in teaching with/for Shared Living Director during Shared Living training sessions.
Communicate with the current training department and OADS/HCBS to ensure trainings are current and up to date

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with individuals, family members, case managers, and others who may come into contact with individual consumers. Reports problems to the Director in a timely manner.
Plan for HCBS mandatory annual trainings; create/update annual training materials yearly, schedule training dates, send out training links to director for directions on sharing with coordinators.
Monitor providers who are due for HCBS/OADS Mandatory trainings and register them accordingly communicating directly with the provider and Cc coordinator.
Participate in teaching with/for Shared Living Director during Shared Living training sessions.
Communicate with the current training department and OADS/HCBS to ensure trainings are current and up to date
