Assists with incontinent residents, routinely checking clothing and linens to keep residents clean and dry

Responsible for leading and assisting with the teaching of activities, bible studies, equine studies , and horsemanship lessons, using provided materials.

Provide for the progression of activities within the framework of individual and group interests and abilities.
Assist in program areas such as study groups, chores, schedule management, attending meals,, unmounted horse classes, , spiritual activities, and leading/assisting with E.P.A classes as directed.
Lead and assist in Bible studies, personal conversations, worship, prayer and model Christian community for each E.P.A.
Model and set a standard for positive culture, communal living and teamwork.
Recognize and respond to opportunities God gives you to speak into the lives of E.P.A's and other staff members. (i.e. life with Christ, eternity, ways God has spoken to you, etc.)
3. Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for E.P.A's and staff.
Provide the daily care of each E.P.A's within your supervision, including recognition of personal health needs and dietary intake.
Provide mentoring/support to E.P.A's as appropriate.
Monitor E.P.A sign in/outs in alignment with E.P.A Program standards.
Recognize inappropriate behavior, respond appropriately, enforce applicable safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.
Delegate house chores and ensure they are thoroughly completed.
Be alert to E.P.A's and staff needs, and assist them with personal and/or health problems, and discuss with camp health provider (nurse) and/or Assistant Horsemanship Director when appropriate.
Be alert to equipment and facilities to ensure utilization, proper care, and maintenance is adhered to; report repairs needed promptly to Assistant Horsemanship Director.
Properly listen to, respond, and report and any all allegations of abuse (mental or physical) to the Assistant Horsemanship Director.
4. Be a role model to E.P.A's and staff in your attitude, behavior, and spiritual disciplines.
Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures.
Set a good example to E.P.A's and others in regard to general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule, respect towards instructors and other staff/volunteers, times of worship and spiritual development, and sportsmanship.
Maintain punctuality for yourself and the E.P.A's.
Prepare for and actively participate in staff orientation, meetings, and functions.
OTHER JOB DUTIES
Contribute to verbal and written evaluations and communication as requested.
Participate enthusiastically in all activities, planning, and leading those as assigned.
Participate as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening activities, special events, chapel, camp-fire, Bible studies, and other all-horsemanship team activities and camp/lesson functions.
Assist in the planning of any special events such as Fourth of July parties, staff trips, camp tournaments/new activities, etc.
Care and cleaning of horse camp facilities and equipment.
Use cleaning chemicals and techniques to maintain sanitary washroom, kitchen and overall living conditions in the E.P.A house.
Follow all dress code requirements of Warm Beach Camp.
RELATIONSHIPS
Staff members 18 and over are not permitted to enter into romantic relationships with volunteers, students, or E.P.A's under the age of 18.

POSITION SUMMARY
Our Resident Lifestyle Assistant (Activity Assistant) supports the Resident Lifestyle Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating various daily life enrichment activities for our active residents, aimed at promoting their physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
Additionally, as a Lifestyles Assistant, you will also drive and ensure the safe transportation of our residents to and from various destinations, such as appointments or activity group outings, assisting them with safe onboarding and offboarding as necessary. The ideal candidate is friendly, patient, and committed to providing excellent service to seniors while ensuring a high level of safety and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage residents one-on-one and in small and large group settings.
Lead or assist with group and one-on-one social, religious, educational, indoor, and outdoor activities, exercise, and outings.
Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music, trips, and special events.
Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter.
Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes when required.
Review goals and progress notes.
Assist in decorating for special events, holidays, and seasonal celebrations.
Support the coordination of external trips, including reservations, and ensure resident safety during outings.
Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as necessary.
Requirements:
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience, Competencies, and Skills:
At least 6-12 months of relevant experience working with seniors, leading life enrichment activities, is preferred.
Working knowledge of various computer systems, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and commitment to always treating our residents with respect and dignity.
Friendly, assertive, professional, outgoing, multitasked, and organized.
Excellent communication skills.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
