Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** The Resident Assistant is accountable for assisting with personal care to residents in accordance with their care plan. Follows proper procedure in performing medication administration according to policy and procedure. Performs scheduled activity. Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a sanitary, orderly and attractive environment. **What you will do** + Assists the resident with all facets of daily living including meals, medications, bathing, housekeeping and laundry. + Gathers information, including: Lunch count (report count to kitchen, logging maintenance requests, any meal substitutions, absent/present report & guest meals. + Administers resident medications according to policy and procedure. If Med Aide trained. + Reports any changes observed in residents' condition or behavior, including but not limited unusual incidents, vital signs outside of established parameters, weight gain/loss, and charts incomplete assignments and/or refused care to Nurse to ensure continuity of resident care. + With accuracy and detail, records and charts clinical data such as temperature, pulse, respiration and similar resident information + Answers call lights, anticipates resident needs, and completes frequent rounding. Prepares residents' rooms and their belongings for admission, transfer, and discharge. + Follows proper procedures for linen changes, soiled laundry, cleaning of furniture, equipment, and utensils. Follows proper procedure for reporting equipment that is in need of repair. + Assists residents to activities, assist with or direct activities. + Keeps work environment clean and tidy, including resident rooms, kitchen, utility rooms, staff lounge, refrigerators and storage areas. Replenish supplies in each area as needed; gloves, soap, paper towels and kitchen supplies. + Prepares dining room for meals. Is familiar with the diet extensions when preparing special diets. Courteously serves meals with attention to eye appeal, sanitation, and temperature. Follows sanitary food handler techniques. Reports poor quality or unsafe food so it is not served. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Accountabilities: Responsible for the overall ongoing cleanliness of the dining room, bowling, axe throwing, billiard tables and arcade area during the meal periods. Help out in the Host/Hostess area with greeting, seating, and answering the telephone. Maintain the restrooms, sidewalks, and parking lot. Must show up ready for work in a clean, neat, and pressed uniform, 5 minutes before the scheduled shift. Receive no guest complaints on their service. Must follow and support all Union Social standards/rules in public and in private. Help other staff as needed without hesitation and request help from others as needed. Must ensure all Service Assistant side work is complete and checked by a manager before leaving. Qualifications: Education: A High School diploma is desired but not essential. Must have basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Must be able to speak and understand fluent English. Experience: None required. Physical: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must possess the dexterity and the stamina to endure a fast-paced working environment for an entire shift and be able to bend, step, reach, carry, lift, wipe, stand, and stoop in order to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to communicate effectively with other people. Certification: Employee must complete their certification process by showing mastery of all standards of excellence in their area. This is decided by the employee's ability to accomplish the duties of the position at an aggressive pace as acknowledged by the Trainer.

Enter daily statistics into excel spreadsheets. Obtain accurate charges for services from therapist. Provide assistance to Office Manager in general office and clerical activities. Assist Office Manager in compiling of fiscal and programmatic monthly reports. Process purchase orders. Data input into Mosaix. Perform data entry of SPARS forms and collection of GPRA forms. Create Quarterly Prevention Newsletter. Additional Functions: Perform other duties as requested by Office Manager or Program Director. Promote and support all YFS programs and services. Act in accordance with purpose, philosophy, values, goals, policies, and procedures of YFS. Promote a positive image of YFS and the Counseling Center as a helpful and effective program serving children, youth, and families in the Rapid City area Environmental Functions: Perform duties in a controlled office environment and remotely.
