Position Title: Resident Assistant, Domestic Violence Services Reports to: Shelter Supervisor Salary: $18.88 hour ($19.38 for dual English and Spanish fluency) Hours per week varies (full time 37.5) (part-time 25) Schedule: Shifts of 12.5 hours; 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. day shift. 7:30 pm to 8:00 am overnight. Answer the Lethality Assessment Program (LAP) calls. 5. Maintain case management system, client records, track statistical data relevant to domestic violence victims, and enter data into VADATA and any other assigned data entry system. 6. Attend training, regular staff meetings and supervision meetings in/outside of regular shift hours. 7. Oversee the shelter's daily activities and enforce house rules. Conduct room checks at the beginning of every shift and house checks several times throughout the shift. 8. Maintain a clean, welcoming, warm, residential environment. Prepare facilities for clients including cleaning rooms, ensuring bathrooms are clean making sure each room has towels and toiletries, for all new clients. Vacant room must be sanitized and ready for new residents. Daily sanitation of common areas is required and other parts of the shelter during your shift. 9. Conduct intake process in accordance with shelter procedures and work with specialists and case managers when receiving clients into the shelter. Orient new residents by conducting a RA intake and reviewing shelter rules, chores, giving a tour of the shelter, and ensuring they have basic personal care items and any other necessities. 10. Aid residents with daily needs such as dispensing supplies like medication, baby care items, personal care items, and food from locked areas of the kitchen, and coordinating cab services when needed. 11. Prepare and check the chore chart. Ensure chores are completed and issue warnings, when necessary, when client are not complying. 12. Assist case managers with small tasks to help clients meet their goals and end the cycle of violence. 13. Assist residents in the planning of meals and preparation, by keeping an inventory of the food pantry. Always make a note on OneNote on all interactions with clients, if giving anything to the client and if anything is needed make a note on the summary and contact supervisor. 14. Any incident an accident, behavior issues, threat, or any altercation occurs call supervisor immediately or 911. 15. Submit a food order from HPC. (Every other Tuesday, order will be submitted as needed). 16. Cooking meals for all housing residents. (if an RA wants to plan and cook a meal for residents inform the supervisor and case manager) 17. Organize, sort, put away, and distribute donations to clients. 18. Log into One Note all donations received. 19. Conduct exits interviews in accordance with shelter procedures. 20. Report via email to the Shelter Supervisor when any equipment needs to be replaced or repair and note on the summary highlight. . 21. Be a part of and abide by the requirements of the shelter on-call schedule. Flexibility is required. 22. Complete mandatory CPR, First Aid, Airborne and Blood-borne pathogens, Domestic Violence, NARCAN, and food handling training (to be provided by ACTS). Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1.
