Job Description
The After-School Program Assistant Program enriches the students spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. The After-School Program Assistant will maintain a safe and educational learning environment for young children by successfully implementing the program curriculum and daily program activities. Daily expectations include leading children in table activities, supervising snack and outdoor play, assisting children with day-to-day needs, maintaining a clean environment, and leading group activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Hours: 6:00 am - 8:00 am; 2:50 pm -6:00 pm (M,T, W, F) Thurs: 1:50 pm - 6:00 pm
Work with the school principal to implement engaging, developmentally appropriate educational enrichment curriculum and programming which expands and supports student learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Develop and maintain professional working relationships through effective and timely communication with the school principal, other program personnel, and other building staff members, such as custodians, teachers, and food service personnel. Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis.
Assist the principal in addressing the ongoing needs of the students and parents.
Implement program procedures effectively to ensure the safe being of all participants.
Observe, monitor, and participate in children's play activities.
Promote a safe and healthy environment based on safety standards set within the program.
Efficiently redirect inappropriate student behaviors and implement the program discipline system to effectively monitor and guide proper student behavior.
Support the emotional and social development of children.
Report any concerns and questions regarding the program (students, parents, equipment needs, supplies, other staff, volunteers, etc.) to the principal.
Maintain accurate and organized records such as attendance records, snack records, incident reports, and all other paperwork as instructed by the program director to ensure program compliance and quality operations.
Help prepare snacks for the children and clean-up the kitchen and snack area.
Assist in the cleaning and straightening of the room and equipment before, during, and after the program. This includes washing tables, chairs, and toys, putting up chairs, and locking the building at the end of the day.
Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
Enjoy being with students and foster their spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development through the duties outlined above.

We are seeking a
Resident Assistant.
The Resident Assistant provides personal care and related services to residents according to individualized service and care plans. Works under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator. Certification as a Nurse's Aide is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain and record vital signs; report deviations to supervising nurse per Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, nutrition, ambulation, transfers, positioning, and medication reminders.
Follow ISPs and daily task sheets; communicate resident status changes to supervisors.
Utilize standard precautions and infection control procedures.
Maintain safe and clean resident environments; document resident progress in a timely manner.
Encourage resident engagement in activities.
Uphold HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to all community policies.
Attend biweekly in-service meetings and mandatory trainings.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
Minimum six months caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
Completion of required medication management course.
CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Professionalism and ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

* Successful completion of Caregiver Background check every four years as outlined by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services
* Successful completion of the required CBRF training as outlined in DHS 83 including the Medication Assistant Training Program and is certified by the State of Wisconsin for medication administration in a CBRF setting
* Strong interpersonal skills essential to being able to direct peers according to Luther Manor Values, expectations and has received instruction and coursework to measure and record blood pressure and radial pulse.
* Has received instruction on medication actions, medication effects on the body systems and side effects, especially in relation to geriatric residents.
* Ability to administer and document medications to Courtyards residents in a safe manner. Ability to document medication administration legibly and accurately.
