    Title: Program Assistant, Elon in DC Temporary Days Per Week: Monday - Friday Hours Per Week: 40 VP Area: Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs Department: Global Engagement This position will report to the Director of Study USA and provide on-the-ground support for students participating in Study USA Washington, D.C., a summer program based in Washington, D.C. The role serves as the secondary point of contact for student assistance and program coordination. In addition, the position supports alumni engagement and collaborates with the Student Professional Development Center (SPDC) to facilitate networking opportunities for students and alumni in the Washington, D.C. area. The 10-week program runs from May 26 to August 1, 2026, with the candidate living full-time in Washington, DC, from May 24 to August 1. Evening and weekend work is required. This position is also required to assist the D.C. faculty director and the Study USA director in creating a robust program calendar for students, starting February 2nd (virtually). The program assistant is housed with the program participants in an apartment building located in Washington D.C. A transportation card is provided for the duration of the program. Mandatory training in Elon's Student Life, Student Care and Outreach, Title IX, the Clery Act, and Inclusive Excellence policies and protocols is provided before the program's start date. Job Duties * SUPPORT FOR ELON IN D.C. STUDENT PROGRAM * Serve as primary contact for student concerns and well-being for 20-30 students enrolled in the Study USA D.C. summer program. * Coordinate with the Office of Student Care and Outreach to address student care and conduct issues. Knows and complies with all resident rights Initiates, assigns, and assist with activities, as appropriate Check all assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, any continence issues and change in condition Uses proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions Checks on assigned resident rooms daily for general cleanliness and neatness and takes appropriate action; ensures high risk rooms are double checked Assist with conducting laundry rooms, common areas - including bathrooms - checks for cleanliness and any exposed hazardous chemicals; and takes appropriate action (i.e. contacting housekeeping, personally cleaning the room, securing the chemicals) Completes all ADLs for assigned residents according to the resident's Personalized Service Plan (PSP) Responds to security system and resident call bells promptly & immediately; takes appropriate action including resetting call bells EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION Resident Care Associate | CNA High School education preferred and may be required by the state Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals, preferred Must be at least 18 years of age to perform the personal care aspects of the RCA position Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing, preferred Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, available to our customers at peak service delivery days and times Requirements:
