SUD Residential Aide Duties: In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing guidance and direction to BHP residential clients with a history of drug and alcohol abuse, including some with criminal records who reside at a residential house for rehabilitation. You will assure the safety and security of the facility, clients and community and provides a range of supportive and emergency services. Work a 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd or weekend shifts and coordinate shift operations. Specific work shift responsibilities vary based upon the shift and operational and service needs. Primary Responsibilities: Facilitate activities as directed by the Activity Director (i.e., setting up necessary equipment and supplies, escorting residents to and from activities area and providing instruction). Supervise and assist residents engaged in scheduled activities as necessary. Make routine visits to in-room residents and assist them by writing letters, running errands, making appointments and providing assistance with crafts projects, etc., as necessary. Observe and document resident attendance, mood, behavior and degree of involvement in facility activities. Interview residents or family members to obtain activities information. Assist in developing activities-related interventions in resident care plans as appropriate. Encourage the resident/family to participate in the development and review of his/her plan of care. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments within the facility to assure that daily activities can be performed without interruptions. Report all incidents/accidents and safe/unsafe conditions immediately. Follow all established safety and ergonomics policies and procedures. Assist in preparing activities rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs. Assist in cleaning up activities area after completing activity functions. Operate activities equipment safely and efficiently. Requirements: Must have experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting. Must have a valid driver's license. Responsibilities The STNA's Primary Responsibility is to ensure patients are provided care by way of many different tasks such as: Assisting residents with their bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming, nail care and dressing needs. STNA123 Qualifications Minimum Qualification/Requirements: Must possess specific educational and experience requirements such as: A high school diploma or GED, unless working under a student permit. Be certified by the Ohio State Department of Health (OSDH) as a STNA in good standing. STNAs transferring from another state may work for 120 days while awaiting their Indiana certification. Graduating STNA students, not yet certified, may also work for 120 days while awaiting their Indiana certification. Have basic computer skills along with knowledge of such programs as Excel, Word, etc. Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana. Must possess interpersonal skills such as: Assisting licensed nurse with procedures within the scope of practice for nurse aide; The ability to follow written and verbal instructions, function independently and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action; Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel; The ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel; Requires judgment in prioritizing the performance of tasks, duties and responsibilities in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures; The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPAA; Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity and physical level in which they are currently functioning; The ability to adhere to professional code of ethics, and The ability to relay information concerning a resident's condition to the appropriate staff members.
